It's common knowledge that Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling has a magical way with words, but these internet trolls found out the hard way that her comebacks are just as enchanting.
The British novelist is often vocal about her political views, especially her support for the LGBTQ community and her disdain for Donald Trump. This has attracted some negative attention to her Twitter page, but she instantly summons brutal responses every time. After all, she knows a "load of cobblers" when she sees it.

One thing I love about her retorts is that she knows that in a lot of cases, it's useless to try and actually debate those people. 1. Logic will not likely convince them and 2. chances are, even if they were convinced, they would not admit it publicly. She's got better things to do, and the little time she spends on brilliant comebacks is entertaining and making people's days :D
By labeling him a "Lone Wolf", the media's dismissing the crime as something conceived and cultivated in his mind alone, and is not reflective of a broader culture against Muslims, or influenced in any way by violent and/or hateful ideology. By not calling him a terrorist, they're protecting said broader culture from scrutiny and placing it squarely on the individual. If this were done on behalf of other terrorists of other races, Islamophobia wouldn't grow into the monster that it is. So, yes -- it's fair to call him a terrorist, inasmuch as it's fair to call any person who kills innocent people a terrorist, regardless of their motivation for doing so.
I may not agree with her political views, but NO ONE will f**k with her or her followers! She gifted me the best teenage years with Harry Potter!!! STFU

Yeah - too bad we ended up w/Trump - but Hellary would have been exponentially worse. In Brazil she told the rich parasites (Not Rowling - she's helped a lot and gives tons of money to causes she believes in, but the zionist bankers, CEOs etc that kill the world) that the corporations would run the country, and she would get rid of all US borders. This. A million times this! Anyone who claims to be a HP fan but then thinks this way clearly missed the entire message. It makes me wonder what the hell they liked about the books then. Was it just all the surface stuff like the magic?

I think when it comes to movies, because they try to be more "realistic", they have this sort of "unwritten rule" of staying closer to the character descriptions, where in stage performances, appearance-related differences are generally not important, unless specific to the social situations around the character (i.e. If the play / musical concerns race relations, you don't want, say, the persecuted black American character played by a Chinese guy or something, lest the audience get very confused.)
Why doesn't he/she just type "your" and "you". It's already an introduction to a battle that's impossible for Rowling to lose.

That's an important thing: when you publicly stand up against something - ad the internet counts as publicly - it's not just the people you're responding to you can have an effect on. It's everyone else witnessing the debate. People look to people with a platform to shape their opinions - politicians, journalists, and any person famous enough to have public weight. Rowling standing against bigots is like Harry standing against Umbridge: it makes other people brave, too.
I can't tell if the person is FOR or AGAINST abortion, but I can tell that they didn't quite understand the point of the film Vera Drake.
I'm kind of confused by the relevance of this quote. I would've quoted the U.S. Constitution, since it was rather explicitly written by guys who mostly didn't care much for the Bible. Amendment 1 of the Constitution says this: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" which seems decidedly more on-point.
