My Grandma Has Had This "Decorative Rock" On Her Table For 8 Years. I Don't Have The Heart To Tell Her
Pretty sure it's a jawbreaker candy, like the ones from Ed Edd 'n Eddy cartoon.
Load More Replies...Guess ya'all have to be over 30, used to get these giant Jawbreakers from any major amusement park. About the size of an orange, this is a perfect example of the farthest any kid had ever gotten into one. After this point you would have lock jaw and your tongue would most likely be bleeding (yes last part was a joke....mostly)
Its a bath bomb, bath bombs have a flat spot so they can sit on the side of a tub and they are rough textured and fizz away leaving a rough texture. Jaw Breakers or gobstoppers had a smooth texture and melted away smoothly, and every one I've ever seen had lots and lots of multicolored layers that made rings in every color of crayon in the big box, especially if you 'cracked' open the jaw breaker.
Yeah, I think bath bomb too. Jawbreakers (the big kind) wouldn't wear that evenly even if you just licked it on one side. And it looks like there's a sticker on the bottom!
Load More Replies...I had one of those for years!! It was about the size of a baseball. Finally tossed after 30+ years.
That's not a sticker, that's just the core layer. It's a bit more compact than the other layers so the humidity over the years hasn't worn it away as much as the surrounding layers, making it stand out.
Load More Replies...It is a cantaloupe. It has dried and therefore shrunk up/or down. Let it be and it will slowly change.
Load More Replies...i have one of those, they are some of the best jaw breakers in the world
giant jaw-breaker! We used to get them at 'six flags' from the confectionary!
Lol what is a decorative rock? Why keep it on the table?
A decorative rock like a geode, made when lightning strikes the ground and fuses whatever sediments are there. It looks like an ordinary round rock on the outside, but when you cut it in half, you expose the patterns inside. There are also decorative rocks with crystals inside. People display them in their homes because they're a cool piece of nature.
Load More Replies...This is the pic that made me read this article. Thought I'd find out what this is in the comment section. Oh well
It's a a giant jawbreaker. If you think it's anything else just Google it I use to get these at Disneyland when I was a kid.
Large Jaw Breaker candy like they sold at Cracker Barrel when I was little, we would come home and break it up in pieces with a hammer
it kind of looks like what's called a dragon's egg, which has minerals inside, like quartz or amethyst. Looks too big to be a jawbreaker, wouldn't fit in anyone's mouth.
I had one when I was young, maybe 25 years ago, that was the size of a baseball. You just licked the outside. I think I only got like 10% in over a year, and ended up tossing it.
Load More Replies...That looks like a dried, rotten galia melon...no wonder he/she didn't have the heart to tell grandma 😂
I have that SAME TOWEL it's resting on! My late husband already had it when I met him 23 years ago and it wasn't new then! I have it over a cushion for my cat in my living room so it was a surprise to come across it here!!
They were called Terydactal Eggs, came in a nest, a take off on pet rocks...
XD It's not a bath bomb, it's a jawbreaker candy that's been eroded some.
Load More Replies...Captain here- it is actually a bath bomb; giant gobstoppers don't have a surface that rough, they don't have a mould line around the circumference, and they aren't flat on one side with a label in the middle. Go look up some pictures if you don't believe me- it sure as heck ain't a gob stopper, despite what you may want to believe.
Nah, I'm just f*****g with you; it is actually a gobstopper, as per the reddit post by vocivus- I'm loving the war between the two sides arguing over what it is though.
Load More Replies...Jawbreaker. It's candy with multiple layers in different colors. =)
Load More Replies...Do you mean "cantaloupe"? And I don't think so.
