So Christmas is over, New Year's is over, and you're starting to regret your resolutions already. The weather is still awful and will likely remain so for at least another couple of months, and the work on your desk has piled up over the Christmas period together with the inches around your waist. January and February are definitely fertile months for the occasional 'epic fail day!'
Fear not, though. Nothing that these dark months can throw at you is a patch on what unfortunate events these folks had to endure. I was a horrible child & my older sister still has a scar from when I heated a penny on the door of our coal fire & put it on her chair. Years later, when she was about 15 & I was 13, I noticed she had a face like thunder so I started throwing Maltesers chocolates down her cleavage. She picked up the closest thing to her, which unfortunately for me was a D battery, & launched it back at me with the full fury of teen angst. Long story short, the bone in my hand split along the length, not the width & is still broken. I deserved it!

Oh, I'm sure that happened. I live in the Central Valley of California and it gets viciously hot here too. My Mom actually cooked an egg on the sidewalk. My husband and I used to have a black car. Black inside and out. (What demented jerk came up with that idea?) During the summer, I would sit in the car in shorts or a skirt and hear my legs sizzle.

I can totally believe this. I live in Vegas and when it's 120 outside, you can imagine what the temp is on the inside of the car - Hell has nothing on a summer in Vegas!

Wow...this is so wrong on so many levels. "Impregnated"? Like it was a passive act for women. "Told to [...] abort it"? How would you have the right or entitlement to? And how dare you laugh at human being being born into a world of a father who obviously does not give a s**t what he does with his semen? Sorry, but this is not funny but infuriating. Such a lacak of responsibility...although I see the irony. Hope he at least has to pay big time!
