Is there such a thing as too many dogs? Here at Bored Panda, we believe that the answer is a very hearty ‘no!’ Hilarious and quirky photos of dogs and cats, delicious food pics, and fabulous examples of art, photography, and crafts… these are all things that we firmly believe the world needs more of. And there’s nothing like a host of funny and cute dog pics to boost your mood and help you through the workweek! The weekend is a dozen nose-boops and doggo snuggles away.
That’s where the super-popular Dogspotting group over on Facebook comes in. A community with over 1.8 million members, Dogspotting is dedicated to spotting, photographing, and sharing photos of random dogs. It’s also “a fun place to hang out with friends who enjoy dogs.” Frankly, it sounds like heaven.
Have a scroll through some of the most heartwarming, wholesome, and hilarious photos of our canine buddies, as featured on the Dogspotting group, and don’t forget to upvote the pics that you liked the most. We’d love to hear which of these dogs you’d love to bring home with you if you could so drop us a line in the comments. As much as we might want to rush over to random dogs and pet them until the end of time, there are some things that we should be aware of. Unfortunately, not all dogs want our love and attention (I know, it’s heartbreaking!).
“Lots of us light up when we see a furry friend on our travels and our first instinct is to try to become friends, but our canine companions might not always feel the same way about us. Before approaching any pooch, the most important thing to remember is to check with the owner first. Not only is this polite, but the owners will also know a lot more about their beloved pet’s behavior than you do,” PDSA Vet Anna Ewers Clark explained to Bored Panda.

He is perfect, I love my senior boys and girls at the shelters. I take turns to eat my breakfast with them, I next volunteer Saturday morning and I'm pretty sure it's Monty's turn, unless he's been adopted, then I'll let him off.

The Look You Get When You Don’t Cover Your Nose With Your Face Mask
According to PDSA Vet Anna, some dogs can have fears and phobias that we’re not aware of. That means they might not want too much attention, so you’ll have to stick to admiring them from afar, instead of getting up close and personal.
“Other dogs may be over-enthusiastic and might jump up or lick you if their owner isn’t prepared. With these dogs, you might be able to do some positive training by talking to the owner and rewarding the dog with lots of fuss once they’re calm and sitting down.”
Anna noted that a golden rule that all of us doggo-lovers should live by is to “get clued up about canine communication.” Even though dogs can’t speak, we can tell from their body language what they’re thinking and how they’re feeling.

Blu is absolute perfection. We went to an animal shelter specifically for a puppy that had just arrived. She leaked on our shoes. We didn't mind one bit. Amazingly, they let us adopt her then and there. Five years later, she is a love. And never leaks.

One of my dogs went blind at 11, she did fine without sight, just don't move the furniture around and make them little steps for the sofa and bed and they'll be just fine. This pic is lovely.

My grandparents had a dog who lost eyesight at the age of 1 - had a fight with a cat, scratches got infected, vet could not do anything. he lived to the ripe old age of 14 and I remember playing with him when I was a kid - he'd play fetch like any other dog, relying just on hearing and smell.
“Even if the owner gives you the go-ahead to say hello, it’s important to check that the dog is happy and relaxed while you’re greeting them. It’s really important to pay close attention as some doggy indicators can be very subtle or misinterpreted. PDSA’s canine ladder of communication shows how to tell if a dog is stressed or unhappy.”
I previously had a couple of friendly chats with the incredibly friendly team behind the Dogspotting group. The entire Dogspotting project is far bigger than you might think at first glance. You’ve got the Dogspotting Society, Dogspotting Media, and even Dogspotting Court pages to round out the entire community.
It’s all very orderly and you’ll quickly realize just how much effort is put in on a regular basis to keep the entire project flowing smoothly.

This Dog Makes Everyone So Happy At My Moms Assisted Living!

I grew up with St Bernards. They’re big floofy angels, and one even saved my life when I was a toddler. I had decided to get down off the porch where my mother told me to stay, and toddle down the front path to the gate that let out onto a busy road. Heidi, our St Bernard—-and I swear my nanny dog and guardian angel—-noticed it and came running. She passed me before I got to the gate, and plopped her 150 lbs down right in front of it, so I couldn’t get to it. She stayed there until my mother saw I wasn’t on the porch and came out to get me (not long after—-she had only made a quick run into the house for something). I would love to have another St Bernard, but I live in a place that’s way too warm for them. But if I get the chance to move back up north, you bet I will!

Animals make people so happy in assisted living, hospitals and such. When I was in the hospital it helped so much. When it was time for a visit so many people headed to the lounge. Even people who were a little bit afraid of dogs still stood at the door to look.

And as we’ve seen on the page, it happens a lot!" one of the page’s representatives told Bored Panda earlier that even people who don’t really want a dog eventually grow to love the dashing pup who rolled their way into their lives.

Our dog, Scruffy, gets along really great with his catpack too. Loved them from the very start, and has also welcomed every new member ever since. He’s even really cool with tiny little kittens. He lets them just walk all over him—-never nips at them or anything. We were lucky with him; his personality was a total unknown, because I rescued him right off the street.

I'm glad this puppers is in good hands now! We had a very friendly collie start roaming our , neighborhood, so as soon as we were sure he was lost, we contacted a rescue. The vet found he had heartworm, and the rescue found a young man who was interested in adopting him, so agreed to foster him through his heartworm treatment. Last I heard, the dog was completely recovered and joined his human at work in his shop every day. Helping a lost dog, the universe smiles on you, I think -- it certainly smiled on that sweet collie!

From the Facebook page: "Happy update - happy boy is reunited back with his owner! His name is “Little Black” in Chinese. We are in the middle of typhoon season here in China, so he got spooked yesterday afternoon and ran off, and his dad couldn’t find him anywhere. He actually ran away from the security office this morning, but he came back and I took him to the vet to find his chip. He was so scared he would barely let any vets touch him. But he’s the sweetest boy in all the world."

It's a harmless growth. My dog has one in the same spot. Vet says they see this often. These types of dogs Iove to, what I call belly crawl, in the grass and it loosens this. But it doesn't seem to hurt the dog.

My dog had a tiny one too but i asked the vet to remove it because it could be painful if the dog scratch it/rip it off accidentally (a lot of blood). His was more on the side so very easy to scratch for a playful dog.

These are all if’s, it’s 80 degrees outside, windows are closed and there is no owner around, I get a crowbar or something to break the window, take the dog out, get it in a cool place with some water and call the police.

Don't worry, I don't jump over, I have only done that once by accident, and haven't figured out how to do it again (Mom moved the rocks I was standing on). If you'd like to pet me, please do!
