35 Random Everyday Life Situations Illustrated In Funny And Relatable Comics (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistLet's kick off this new week with something that will set a positive tone right from the start. And what better way to do that than with a dose of good, occasionally dark humor? The comic series 'Hoppy Doodle' by Danish artist Kasper Adsbøll will surely fit this purpose.
These black and white, minimalist strips have a significant fan base, not only on Kasper's social media profiles but also here on Bored Panda. We've featured some of his previous comics in our other posts, so be sure to check them out. This time, we have also reached out to the artist to ask a few questions about his recent work so if you want to know more, scroll down and read our interview.

Pandemic supply chain issues resulted in having to buy dino nuggets. Wow they were delicious!
We contacted Kasper and asked him to share the story behind the name ‘Hoppy Doodle’. The artist shared with us: “It’s actually a contraction of two words: ‘Happy’ and the word ‘Hobby.’ I love drawing and creating comics, so it’s a bit my hobby that makes me happy, and that’s how it became the word ‘hoppy.’ Plus, I think it carries a positive vibe when you say ‘Hoppy,’ which is why I feel it fits perfectly with my cartoonish art style, as you can see in the Reddit comics I draw.
Purely by chance, I’ve also found out that ‘hoppy’ has something to do with beer, and I do like beer! Hoppy Doodle!”
Asked how he approaches character design and expression to evoke laughter, the artist answered: “Many sketch on paper before they start on the computer, but I don’t do that. I begin the drawing on the computer and then build more and more layers onto the drawing until I reach a level of detail I am satisfied with. Often, you have to adjust or delete something because you just got a new idea that fits better, but it’s a process, and sometimes you hit the mark right away, and other times, you have to delete and work several times.”
Our parents always insisted we first made our homework and afterwards play, if there was still time before bedtime. Still had exam fears though. But that's because I'm a perfectionist, and always afraid to fail
My answer to stress has always been sleep. At odd inappropriate times and for many hours longer than thought normal

Adsbøll continued: “Expressions are very important for the way I draw, and they contribute to determining the entire mood of the comic. That’s also why I often expose my characters to extreme situations, so I can create very exaggerated expressions.”
We were wondering how Kasper navigates creating content that resonates with a wide audience while staying true to his own comedic voice. The artist said: “I have never really thought about having an audience as such. It’s more like when I come up with an idea and can laugh at it myself. I then hope a bit blindly that there are others who share the same bad sense of humor as I do, and fortunately, there are.”
Legit me binge watching Great British Baking Show season one to four.
Was just watching that! Love the show and judges 💕
Load More Replies...I find a series I'm interested in, and I don't watch anything else until it's finished. I have an excuse -- we never know when they'll take that series off the stream.
That's how I look after a weekend on my own with my only conversation being the woman at the register who sells me my energy drinks and the guys who deliver my pizza evening after evening, watching Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or some series I already watched four times while playing something like Minecraft, House Flipper or Anno or looking at my phone for hours at a time. Aka: The perfect weekend.
Watch one piece, Stargate or any daytime soap opera. You be there for a week
We were also curious what advice the author of the ‘Hoppy Doodle’ series could give to aspiring comic artists who are looking to establish themselves in the online space. We heard: “The way I got my comics out there was through Reddit, as there are many webcomics posted there. Initially, I posted on r/comics, thinking it would make sense for my comic, but they didn’t perform well. I had published my comics on other platforms where they did better, so I was puzzled. I then started targeting my comics to other Reddit subs like r/funny, r/memes, and r/gaming, since many of my comics revolve around gaming. That’s when my comic began to gain traction, and people started to share and like it. One needs to be very patient and try to share their comics/art in as many places as possible because even if there aren’t many on a particular platform who like your content, there may be others elsewhere. You end up creating 20-50 bad comics before you make a good one, so persistence is key.”
But if you watch the ad, you'll double your gold.
I thought he was about to be rich and then he got beat up by an unskippable cutscene.
Lastly, Kasper added: “So I have two different comics and the past year I have spent most of my time creating the Reddit comics, because I was a part of the Gen 1 Collectible avatar artists. There are about 100 pages of comics and it's all free! You can see them here and here.”
The horror. BP forgot to censor the first panel! Whatever will we do?
In the first panel yes. In the second panel, I think place is relevant. Space travel sounds exciting until we remember that we aren't in Star Trek times and living on another planet would mean being stuck in a very limited indoor environment

BTW, you might have paid a little more time in English class, after not spelling "friend" and "receive" correctly.
"God" isn't a slur (at least for most people). Plus: People believe in a lot of different gods, so what makes you think your god is the one they meant? Out of this: When your religion forbids you to do or say certain things, go for it. But if your religion tries to forbid people who do not believe in your god to do or say certain things, nobody cares. If he doesn't like that people say his name while sluring or during sex, he's free to complain anytime.

I don't have the option for wired headphones without an adapter. Samsung Galaxy S22.
me either... one plus 10pro BUT the adapter is worth not having to charge them every day or worry about connectivity issues (says the most analog software engineer on the planet 😬)

Ugh, YES! My nephew asks if I will play LEGO "with" him but what he really means is will I spend hours on the floor, losing getting in my legs and hips, looking for each piece he says he wants to use so HE can play with LEGO!
So your nephew wants to build (not play) with Lego, and he needs an assistant. If you do the job right, one day you might be allowed to build something!
Load More Replies...If I didn't have cats, I'd get some Lego pieces.
But the point with LEGO is to use the bricks in new ways, so if you can't find the one you want use some other bricks instead.
My mother doesn't buy my nephew Legos anymore. It's not his fault, but his mother keeps throwing them all in one big box where they all get mixed up so that if you want to build a certain set you will end up exactly like this, and she keeps doing it even after we admitted this will get difficult at some point. So no more Legos for him.

Trust me that's better then all stats in wisdom but none in intelligence. It takes me a long time to understand things but once I do it's amazing what I do with it.. too bad schools don't care what you do just how quickly you learn stuff
Load More Replies...I love to realize that sometimes I'm not the only one having weird thoughts like real life stats. Sometimes I'm so on auto-pilot that when I walk down the street all of a sudden I need a short moment to make sure I'm wearing appropriate pants and shoes or actually walk into the right direction, 'cause some tasks and ways I do so naturally I don't realize it anymore. Sometimes I even forget why I'm outside and where I want to go at all for a second. I remember one time I walked to the grocery store as I back then did several times a week before realizing I actually wanted to go to the tram station.

Good thing is: No need to leave your bed. Maybe you're awake, but you can turn around, close your eyes for as long as you wish, read a book, play with your phone, ... When I can sleep in, but wake up early, I sometimes really appreciate the extra time to so all the unneccesary, time consuming, pointless things I don't have the time or the nerves for all week long.
Trick is to f*** urself with energy drinks, exercise, and staying up longer than you think you should... Or just do whatever you feel like
nah cuz it sucks when people know ur gay and they ask “oh do you like me” or “ha you like xxxx” like great i’m gay shut it
I think most guys that are straight have thought this but we don't say it out loud because of the what if scenarios.
I think corgis and flat faced dogs are super overrated. But that's just my opinion
Flat faced dogs shouldn't even be a thing, usually they can't breath properly 'cause they're completely overbred and their respiratory tracts are way too short, plus there are formally short faced dogs, but breeder tried to let their noses get longer again, but they just can change the appearence, the respiratory tract usually stays short. I once saw a video in wich a vet filmed a short faced dog having a tube inside their respiratory tract to help them breath during whatever they did to him, and while she filmed she spoke about how usually dogs want to ged rid of this thing as soon as possible and don't look very happy about it, but short faced dogs usually don't struggle that much with it 'cause they are just happy that they can breath properly for the first time in their lifes, and you really could observe how his expression changes from happy to kind of a resignation after they removed the tube and breathing got difficult again.
