My cat when he was a kitten, neighbour told us their was a small grey cat attacking the neighbourhood pets. He owned the only grey cat on the street. We saw no pets for the rest of the year they all went into hiding

There is a reason for that. We have adopted two black kitties and they vaguely tolerate me as the giver of wet food and cat treats. The rest of the family (human and feline) just give them their space.
