You can be rich and agree with taxing the rich. I’m not rich, but I worked for an extremely wealthy the woman who was originally Dutch and she was very much in favor of paying her taxes, socialized medicine, free college education, etc. They aren’t mutually exclusive, though it can feel that way
So, to be fair. The person saying "2 million is not rich" is not the same person we see in the picture. You can be rich and still believe the rich should pay more taxes.

Also 2mil isn't rich if you take the most wealthy people into account (who don't pay taxes and we all even kno it), then 2mil is just a grain of rice in the ocean of rice. Ok but you can be rich and still advocate for more taxes on the rich. You can still spend your money while saying there should be more taxes.
I've seen a video of rich people asking to be taxed, saying in times of covid they can help, they want to help and donating was not the better way to do it according to them (wich I can understand). Maybe she thinks the same ?

You can be rich and still support taxing the rich, including yourself, if you genuinely think this is what is fair, just like lower-class conservatives who are against that because although it does not serve their interests they actually believe it would be morally unfair. Not everyone is selfish. Also, 2 000 000 is not rich.

This girl is stupid, but that doesn't mean that other people who are rich can't say "tax the rich"... There are rich people out there that are ok with the concept of their taxes going up. I heard a quote from some celebrity who said "when I was young and poor and said 'tax the rich' people called me jealous. Now that I'm rich and say it, people call me a hypocrite. $2 million isn’t the kind of rich that doesn’t pay taxes. So yes you can definitely have $2 million and want to tax the rich, because if you have $2 million that means you had to make $4 million and then give half away to poor people who absolutely hate you for having money and categorize you the same as a billionaire who owns a jet. People have no concept of money. Anyone with “only” two million paid two million in taxes. They are taxed. So of course they’ll want the billionaires who ARE NOT taxed to pay their fair share. Also that girl doesn’t have $2m in the bank most likely. She just has a mortgage and makes maybe several hundred thousand a year or something. Nobody pays their entire net worth in cash for a house. Just like any other normal person she has a house that’s worth more than her yearly salary (just like you) and is paying over time and maybe has some money saved in the bank too.
