When you pick up a stray, or a kitten who is not homed, they often look scraggled and you don't know where they came from. This one was probably a box kitty. They are born to be fed to dogs or used in dog fighting. I looked at data today on what states have unadoptable dogs: Pit bulls. People breed rabbits, kittens and even puppies to be torn to shreds by dog fighting. Its replaced c**k fighting, or they are just tossed into the ring to be torn apart. People need to be aware of this. It is a betting sport in barns across the US. If your outdoor feline disappears, it went to be eaten in a ring. Especially if you live in the southwest us. \\ EDIT; if your Chihuahua dissapears, now you know why.

The reason was because of the extent of his injuries and the amount of care it would require. That's why they surrendered him to the Care More Animal hospital. Thankfully, they placed him in very good hands. Also, his face is so cool looking honestly. Like a wrestler's mask.

I've had friends with severe burns and scars. This is so important for burn victims to not only see that you can heal, and will have scars, but you can still be important and not self-conscious about them. Good job to the Veterinarians who saved him.

Another reason why we love our animals so much is because they’re pure. Linder explains that, although our furry friends may frustrate us from time to time, they never do it intentionally. They can’t s**b us in the back or say anything that hurts our feelings. They simply want love, affection, play time, food and water. Relationships with other humans can be exhausting and complicated, but the connections we have with our pets are simple and wholesome.

It’s a crazy gig, my bf did it two years ago with 7 poddy calves who were near death (he rescue purchase them) slept with them through rain and Dubbo winters until he had to be admitted to hospital as he got scours and all the sickness they got from trying to help and be a ‘mother cow’. He’s def an above and beyond kind of kid in this photo.

I think dogs are beautiful and amazing creatures but i could never own one. They have so much personality and just mutual care and companionship thats hard to find but i always come back to the fact that i will most likely have to say goodbye. My mind says "its like having a child you know youll outlive." My mom lost her dog and her heart just never healed the same. My dad got her a puppy when her greiving wasnt letting up and it hurt and angered her even more. Side note. Incase this was my mothers feelings my dad had a backup plan for him to go with my brother who has a lot of land and whod adopted a sister from the same litter. I think they have more pictures of them (dogs) than their human children hanging up

If you shouldn't have a pet, for whatever reason, you can always donate to a shelter. My cat shelter has a list on Amazon of things they need and things they want. I donate doing that. I like to think they get surprise packages. Everybody likes surprises.
On that same note, we can’t get enough of spending time with our animals because they only know connection, Linder writes. We can’t always communicate with them verbally, but we still manage to find a way to share our thoughts and feelings with them. They learn how to understand our body language, and we do the same for them. The more time we spend with them, the deeper our connections with them grow. And it’s amazing to know that you’re the only one in the world who knows your cat’s exact schedule and what he’s thinking in certain moments.

My pom is going blind from cataracts. She still has a small ring of sight around them in each eye. She gets along just fine. The collie I had when I was young was completely blind for the last 2 years of her life. She also got along just fine. As long as they can hear and smell and feel, blindness isn't an issue for most pet dogs.

The lifestyle changes that you’ll experience when you adopt a pet can also be transformative. If you have a dog, you’ll have to take them on walks every single day and spend way more time outside, which will benefit both of you. Even if you have a cat, running around and playing with them inside your home will be a great way for both of you to get more exercise. And who says you can't take your cat outside? I have had cats since I was a child, and this always seems to be the #1 coveted spot in bed. I have had more than one cat at a time, and they either fight for the spot, or work out shifts to share it. I have gone to sleep with one cat next to me, and woke up with the other in the same spot.

Looks like a troublemaker. I had a border collie and he was smarter than many of my employees. Even after tons of training he couldn't keep his mind settled and we fought about adopting him out. but it worked and we let him be adopted by a farm family. At 18 months he was never trained off leash but walked the fences for his new family and fought off a coyote/wolf. Taught me to get a dog that suits your lifestyle.

So agree! I'm one of those who asks if it's okay to pet alllllll the animals. I finally taught myself not to interrupt service dogs after working in restaurants where dogs in training were often brought. All pups are adorable.

Unfortunately she had a very serious birth defect and died after weeks of hope, battle, fundraising to get her to surgery, love and care. She had a lung infection and couldn't be saved. But she was loved and cared for.

Why TF do people even have animals if they’re just going to neglect them or treat them like s**t? There should be an eye for an eye type punishment for animal abusers. They would see what their mistreatment of them was like for the poor creatures they a****d. There are so many people in the world who actually want to have pets and will love them and treat them like the precious gems they are, that there’s no reason why abusers should even have a pet.

2 of my parrots are a***e survivors, all of my birds are previously owned. Because they are so intelligent and have an exceptional memory, it took a lot of work to overcome the fear biting. One will always be insecure and fearful, but he knows he is loved; the other one blossomed (except for a few triggers, which I avoid).

Pallas's cats are amazing and do NOT deserve to live as a pet - hopefully they are in a zoo / breeding program as I understand they are in trouble due to climate change.

We did this for my grandkids first birthday (twins). We put them in their high chairs, each got a little cake. That tub was cake frosting top to bottom, end to end. It was hilarious.

I'm glad someone got her into a shelter to give birth. There was a cat that would come by my window and howl (front part). I saw her in my back yard one day, gorgeous grey. I broke down and brought out a can of tuna and a bowl of water. And a box for her to warm in. Never heard from her again. I hope someone took her and her kittens in.

Reminds me of flying home in the old days when stewardesses brought round trays of boiled sweets before take off. My brother who was about 6 at the time couldn't make up his mind which flavour, they were in the last row, and the stewardess just grinned and tipped the whole tray in his lap ☺️

A six pack. Orangies are nuts but they aren't stupid. They just need a lot of attention, stimulation and love. Especially when they are young. Orange tabbies are incredibly affectionate and loyal. I called mine a dog in a cat suit because they are incredibly trainable. Just invent games. Ours were mousy baseball and the nerf dart challenge. They need stimulation and play.
