People think that self love is selfish, but self love is the key to change.
No one? That’s a bit of a stretch. Also, the people most often told to change themselves are being told this by those with power, influence, wealth... you know, the privilege to keep being however they want to be. I see more entitlement demonstrated by the people who are most often blaming others for being entitled. Of course people want to change the world when the dominant power structure is an opportunistic, abusive, and imbalanced system.

Seriously? That blanket statement is far too general. Without complaint, nothing ever changes for the better. If you don’t tell your relationship partners when there are problems, they cannot work with you to change things. When you don’t complain to doctors about ailments, you can’t be healed. It is patriotic to criticize your country where it is failing the people and the world. Etc.

Success and hard work does not equal happiness... so why are all these quotes from successful people about doing successful things?? Happiness to me is being surrounded by loving friends and family and making them laugh. It isn't a designer car or mansion or stunning spouse. It is exploring with your friends in the middle of nowhere and enjoying any lifestyle, surrounded by imperfect people you love for being exactly the way they are. Why is being rich and surrounded by expensive beautiful people the "best position in life"?? I think it very well could be a small home to one person, a regular life with a bunch of dogs to another, and traveling the world with no stationary home to a third. One route to happiness will never work for everyone- that's why there are so many.
