The main thing here, I guess none of them are looking for repeat business....

Back in the medieval days, bread was so important to the diets of every day people that bakers were given severe consequences for cutting corners. In fact, if you got a dozen buns from a baker, they would throw in an extra one just to prove they weren't trying to swindle the customers, hence the saying "baker's dozen". We need to bring back those kinds of laws for people who try to cheat customers like this.

As long as the product weight or quantity listed on the packaging matches the amount of product inside, all of these package, while being frustrating, are following regulations.

This is just sad. The waster of air, plastic, cardboard, glass, you name it. They just make these rip offs to get more business, more money, and dont even care about how people are wasting their money and getting angered by this injustice. (Do I sound official? 😂)

File all of this under "Caveat Emptor". Let the Buyer Beware. Most countries require truth in packaging for weights and mass of food products. If you do not pay attention, you too can purchase a 3/4 empty bag of crisps or a package of sausages where the package is 1/2 empty. Assume nothing, assume they are trying to trick you into paying for more for less. Stop being lazy and not reading, not using your brain. If these business practices offend you, let th ecomanies involved know. No longer purchase their products. Vote with you rmoney. And teach your kids not to be swindled.

This tells you to ALWAYS check the packaging before buying anything and just how much excessive packaging there is used just to make people believe a lie... sad! There ought to be very strict rules about this type of misleading people!

They get away with it because we let them. Always email, demand they refund and if they want the product back, they pay postage. Don't back down. If you get it on Amazon, first demand a refund, then complain to Amazon and then post it under "reviews". Do the same at other sites. We vote for consumer products with our dollars. If we really work to cost them some money and some future buyers, maybe we can make a difference. And WTH, it feels good to be heard.

Isn't it a shame that we have to guard against so many trying to dupe us? Something is wrong in a world where people get rewarded for the best way to lie to consumers. Money and quick profit have supplanted honesty and fair dealing. What a shame.

This kind of thing happens all the time. I remember buying a package of chocolate chip cookies when I was a kid. There were a ton of cookies in the package. Now, buying the same name brand of cookies (you know the one!) means getting only 15 damn cookies that are smaller than they used to be.

Am I the only person who knows that all these companies have shot themselves in the foot? The way to success is to ensure you get repeat customers. I would think none of these purchasers are coming back.

I don't see how this practice is going to stop until consumers raise the roof, refuse to buy these inferior products and send a message to companies they have had enough.
