I like this one - I'll admit I like Foster the People's style of using artwork rather than photography for most of their work, but this one I could see them doing. It even resembles the cover of their album "Sacred Hearts Club".

That said it's very very close to Joy Division's iconic "Unknown Pleasures" album cover --- which is 100 consecutive pulses from the first discovered pulsar... but that was discovered in the 1960s not the 1700s when Messier catalogued.
