Did you ever wonder where that one sock went when you distinctly remember putting BOTH socks of the pair in the hamper? Or what's watching you in the dead of night... or maybe... why tooth faeries are known to be the most horrible faeries ever!
My name is Iris Compiet and I've been granted the opportunity to uncover a world that is called the Faultlines. I've been given a chance to sit down with Green Men, Swamp Witches, Dragons, Wood Wytches and Wyldmen amongst others. I was able to sketch their portraits and write down their stories. I am collecting them all in a book called Faeries of the Faultlines. The Kickstarter for this book is currently running, although fully funded within the first 48 minutes after launch on the 21st of June, Summer Solstice we are now heading towards unlocking more stretch goals, adding more pages, more art and more stories.
I cordially invite you to take a look, join me in the exploration of the Faultlines and use the stories to begin seeing that which is hidden just behind the veil of our reality. Start seeing the ordinary with extraordinary eyes. Become a friend of the Faeries.
Welcome to the Faultlines, mind your toes, some faeries do like to nibble on them!

All of these are so cool. I would love to hear the stories behind them.

Load More Replies...Its a small project Im making with some of these lil' creatures and others from other books, games, etc...
Load More Replies...I can see a story here: This is Echo. A young, moody boy (or should I say: a creature, that looks a lot like a teenaged boy) that lives with his huge family in a Foggy Forrest, nearby the Hollow River. Out of boredome he likes to nastily prank others. Once he discovers, that one of the oldest tree, that he wanted to set on fire, talks and can open a portal to other lands. He agrees not to burn the tree down in exchange for a trip to one of the worlds. From many bizarre places that the tree shows him he choses London, in our world, because "there are so many funny creatures, that looked almost like him, but not quite". Maybe they would bring him some amusement...? Echo lands in the centre of London during Halloween. He has many adventures, fells in love with a girl, learns some valid lessons and then tries to find his way back home.
This looks similar to the artwork used in the game Neverwinter for the character, Nostura, though I acknowledge yours is an original concept as well. Great work Iris :)
So that's where all the socks go. I must have an infestation of those things.
they do multiply like rabbits
Load More Replies...it's a spin on a Mandrake, they're actually very well known in mythology, not just in Harry Potter. Awesome little creatures.
Load More Replies...I think it's odd that this reminds me of Pan's Labyrinth and I've never even seen the movie.
I'm planning to have that in the book I'm working on, it's on Kickstarter right now, link in the article
Load More Replies...I know this creature. She inhabits my garden just outside my line of vision. She encourages the petunias and the hydrangeas.
they are actually, I'm making a book, called Faeries of the Faultlines, you can find the link in the article
Load More Replies...This one looks like mix of Ivern from league of Legends, and Pan from "Pan's labyrinth"
Can you add a picture of Pan,I'm familiar with the League character
Load More Replies...These pics could be either aliens from another planet or natures hidden creatures.
They're faeries, from the Faultlines. I'm working on a book, it's on Kickstarter at the moment. You can find the link in the article. Thanks Allana
Load More Replies...I see a kindly forest mother figure here. Maybe one who dispenses wisdom from seekers of knowledge.
The look suggests in a cave possibly a bit of radiation poisoning
Load More Replies...thank you Allana! Glad you like my art!
Load More Replies...Godzilla was a marine iguana mutated by nuclear fallout, this guy looks like a horned toad with the same exposure.
yeah little ugly root babies <3
Load More Replies...These are all so beautiful! Where did you find the inspiration for these?
