I released him back where I found him and walked home and he followed me home and lived in my backyard for 7 years. Brought me gifts. Brought his murder to visit me and they brought gifts. I always fed the crows and birds so they had everything they wanted n needed and made my house home. He'd hang out on my shoulder. He'd follow me on walks with my dogs.. I only had him in my garage for 5 days while fixing him up before I let him go and he chose to never leave.

Yes, so many men think they are 'the exception' (entitlement runs deep)

I know of a lot (okay, relatively a lot) relationships where one partner is much older than other and they work beautifully. I never cringe about those anymore, though I admit there was a learning curve. The problem in general is with the power structure. It's very easy for a 50 year old (rich, well-connected, and more mature) man to abuse a 20 year old woman who's just starting at life - in terms of finances, opportunities, but also life experiences. Unfortunately a lot of (mostly) men pray on that, and because of this the default reaction to such relationships is usually distrust, until proven that they're equal. That's also why it's less frowned upon when the woman is the older one, because then the power is a little bit more balanced.
