129 Heartwarming Photos Proving That Your Kids Need A Pet
Every kid needs a pet. A pet provides companionship, but did you know that there are other good reasons for letting your child have an animal friend?
According to parenting.com, pets also help kids with learning, they encourage nurturing, keep kids healthy, and build up family bonds. This is on top of them providing comfort and giving shy children something to talk about with others.
This list features some of the cutest kid-and-pet pictures around. Does your family have any pets? Upload a picture of your children hanging out with your pet below, or upvote your favorite!

I find this photograph mesmerising. I have seen it for a few weeks now and it blows me away every time.
This is poetic if you think about the fact that someday the roles will be reversed, and the grown child will later look after and take care of his dog. I'm not crying, you're crying.
The dog has a face that says... 'Ho hum, im a bit to old for this, but, i'll just humour this sweet little girl.....lovely picture :O)
I love this photograph. The cat is so relaxed with this child; no sign of stress.
And the kid's expression is pricless as well. Looks so determined to protect the cat, or something like that.
Load More Replies...I love this picture... the collar is way to tight for this beautiful cat!
German Shepherds are large, protective, loyal dogs, I'm glad that the child gets to grow up with such a beautiful dog.
Load More Replies...This was my dog (wolf/shepherd hybrid) and my daughter. As an OU grad I wish I could add 10 more likes because of the t-shirt.
Im getting a wolf sheperd hybrid when i grow up! Gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy gimmy.
I read of a study of dogs yawning after their owners yawned, to show a sign of loyalty, but this is taking things one step further. <3
My favorite. This is one of the most adorable pictures I have ever seen.
Beware the person who tries to go up to this child. We had a collie like this many years ago.
Its a German Shepherd........ don't know what collie you owned
Load More Replies...This German Shepherd will guard this child with his/her life! They're fantastic!
i completely agree, I am now without a dog in my life for the very first time, I've had three dogs, two of which were shepherds, they will guard you with their life and follow you to the ends of the earth and back, the third dog was a rottweiler cross (we never found out what), and she was just a giant lap dog.
Load More Replies...That cat is even fatter than bella, and she is a monster. Ive seen her run, and her weight causes her to slide around in circles after she tries to stop on our hardwood floors. Someone should get that in slooooo......mooooooo............. point being, that cat needs to go on a diet, like bella.
You should not hold a bunny like this. Her parents should inform theirselves better about a bunny's needs.
c'mon, she's only young, she wouldn't understand
Load More Replies...My cat would jump in with the kid. I have to keep the bathroom door closed or my kitty will hop into the shower with me.
Load More Replies...both had brown (does that count for the cat too?) and blue
Load More Replies...I love that they're exactly the sane height in this! Precious photo.
training of human for servitude to the great cat lords must be started at a young age...
and the girl's fine with that, she knows the dog will protect her
Load More Replies...Red cattle dog? my granddad used to have a greyhound that was part Dingo, and she'd sing while he played his harmonica (but all she knew was "Bob the Kelpie"
Lol! That's the first thought that came to my mind. Definitely, anakin skywalker.

calm the f**K down the dog is calm, and happy to have the girl on it's back

Gorgeous! What are their names, they look like two cats I had to rehome when my son developed asthma as a younger child (wood Green animal shelter) , I loved them so much.
Their names are Millie and Tigger
