35 Times ‘Karens’ Acted So Entitled, The Internet Had To Call Them Out For It In This Online Group
Acting like an entitled, spoiled brat won’t win you any favors and won’t make you any new friends. In fact, you’re bound to lose a few if you don’t tone it down and continue making other people’s lives a living hell.
To you and I, these people are simply huge jerks who are best left ignored. But to the internet, they’re known as ‘Karens,’ no matter their actual gender or real name. Shaming ignorant Karens has become so huge, it’s even spawned its own subreddit, the ‘Eff You Karen’ community that shows everyone how not to act if you want to be a good person.
In the mood for some more examples of unearned entitlement and outrage? Once you’re done upvoting the pics that made your jaw drop in this list, check out Bored Panda’s previous article about the ‘Eff You Karen’ community right over here.

The ‘Eff You Karen’ subreddit, founded in late 2017, is now homing in on the 1.2-million-member mark. Some of the subreddit’s rules include avoiding political topics, avoiding witch hunts, and censoring social media identities in order to protect the people being poked fun at.
They might be in the wrong and be way too entitled, but there are very few people who actually deserve being spammed by a bunch of angry internet users. Everyone makes mistakes and we need to leave enough room for people to grow and become better. Though, of course, that’s not an excuse for acting like a horrible, entitled person in the first place.

In a previous interview, I spoke about Karen memes and the context surrounding them with Matt Schimkowitz, Know Your Meme’s Senior Editor. According to him, there’s lots of potential for the meme to be insensitive and even offensive to women, so care must be taken when using this type of humor. He put it very plainly that we should all meme with caution, whatever the meme might be.
The Logic This Karen Has Is Very Small
This Karen Is Being Racist Against A Dog

“As [the meme] grows from a parody of a common social experience of someone demanding to speak to a manager to a statement about white privilege, the stakes over the meaning of the meme grow as well,” Matt told Bored Panda.

“I think that users of the meme should be cognizant that what they're meme-ing might not be their intent anymore. It's very possible that the meme could grow even farther to exhibit misogynistic tendencies, which are somewhat already present,” Matt warned those who use Karen memes to be aware of the context.

At the core of using memes for humor lies intent. Know Your Meme’s Senior Editor Matt pointed out that the Karen meme, something that’s used and enjoyed by many people, could eventually become connected to something that many would find offensive if people with sexist beliefs started using the term as a “catchall for all women.”

Karen Doesn't Like The Way You Had Your Baby
My mom had a c-section...definitely an ordeal, definitely delivery, and often people (like my mom) have it because they have previously had a miscarriage and the doctor says it's unsafe to attempt vaginal birth again.
Yeah my mom had a c-section for me as well, anyone who says that such a delivery is "invalid" can do me a favor and dive off a bridge.
Load More Replies...I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. A c-section generally has far more risks, pain and healing time that a vaginal birth. Give me a vaginal birth any day over a c-section. No matter HOW you give birth, you are still delivering a baby.
Exactly. Some babies just need to come out via the sun roof. I'm a midwife, so I've seen a fair bit. A healthy baby and mother is what matters.
Load More Replies...I was born with C-section (umbilical cord around the neck and incorrect position) so with this Karen's logic, guess I haven't been alive in 35 years. Saddly I can't crawl in to my mothers womb anymore and demand that this time she delivers me the RIGHT WAY.
My sister had a c-section because it was that or THE BABY DIES. (Instead, I now have a happy and loving little nephew). This person is a cruel jackass.
A human was grown inside a body, which is quite an amazing thing. Why does it matter how it comes out?
These comments annoy the hell out of me! I'm about to give birth to my fourth child, all through c-sections. I didn't have a choice with the first two and no one will let you have a Vance after two csections. The recovery is horrible, you can't even get up or walk for what feels like forever, and forget walking with the baby for at least the first five days. Oh but the vagina births can jump up and change their babies first diaper and give them their first bath. I say a csection is more giving birth than a cations delivery, as we go through ten times the amount of pain. Plus you can't lift over ten pounds for six weeks, and guess what??? My babies are big!
And to add to this, I have had to have three corrective surgeries to remove scar tissue from the csections. Twice my bladder and uterus fused together and caused excruciating pain, and my bowel attached to my abdominal wall in three places from the healing scar tissue. Apparently, that doesn't count cause I didn't "give birth" in these judgmental bitches eyes. Sorry, I just think people who think this way are uneducated and dumb!!!
Load More Replies...My wife had a C-section after failing to deliver our daughter naturally for over 20 hours straight. Both my wife and daughter are alive and well today because of it. So yeah.
So there are really people who think a C-section doesn't count as a real delivery...*sighs*
The baby emerged from a uterus, right? Welp, it's birth. ---- signed, MD
I had one because the umbilical cord was around my baby's neck so...eff you Karen.
My daughter was delivered via c-section...after 21 hours of labor, her being breech, and the doctor unable to determine where the cord was. It was discovered to be around her neck. Don't tell me that this isn't a "real" delivery.
My 32 year old son seems pretty real to me, the pain of delivering him was real, and were it not for the unplanned c-section, neither one of us would be "real" at all.
Is this something women randomly discuss between themselves? I mean why is it anyone's business? Are they looking for a graphic description of how it went? I swear "mommy groups" are some of the weirdest people on Earth.
Childbirth is quite common, if you haven't noticed. People discussing shared experience is helpful and normalising. If you don't want to know why did you bother to comment?? Just jog on.
Load More Replies...So I shoukkld have just suffocated to death and my mother should died because C-sections are 'bad'?
My mother had a c-section because I would have died if they did it any other way.
Both my kids were born via C-section, first time I almost died trying to deliver her "naturally", second time the baby almost died ( I head infection and the placenta was already inflamed when we got to the hospital). It took me years to overcome the feeling that I am worse mother because I couldn't gave birth to them "properly". And that 's onIy because people like this b* tch and all the "promoting natural motherhood BS" you are bombarded by from the moment you become pregnant.
Again with nonsensical gatekeeping... What on Earth happened to these people to think that it's anything but toxic to behave like there's only one way to do or be something?
All karens should have their tubes closed so that poor kids don't have to suffer under such horrible people that would be their mom.
It is the child’s release date. They were in there for too long, and the landlords had to kick them out.
God Karen’s giving birth.....not only is it repulsive but I feel for the medical staff
I'd rather have them natural but I was cesarian. So were my brothers. I think my mom would rather them have been natural too.
would you rather the mother die? because i'm pretty sure that some mothers can't push the baby out naturally. and even if they can, who cares??? it's just a different way of doing things
im a c-section kid and my mom is as much of a mom as anyone else
Load More Replies...Anyone who has seen footage of a C-Section knows that it is a HUGE ordeal. My god, it is like they are disassembling the mother's abdomen and then putting it back together after the baby is removed.
So in case of previous placenta both mother and child would die. Good for this stupid lady.
WTH!?!?!? She is really dumber than dumb!!! Clearly, she has never had a baby and if she has and was lucky enough to have had her child the "natural" way has never had a difficult delivery where assisted birth was needed to save her life or that of her baby!!!
I've never understood why women having a C-section to safely deliver their babies are told "It isn't a real delivery." It's up there with the time I overheard a nurse telling another (I was in my hospital room recovering from a hysterectomy) that it was a shame..I was so young and no longer a woman now.
Oh dear Lord, laughing SO hard. But seriously, if it's not real delivery, then where the heck did all these babies come from? Pizza Hut?
That moment when having a real delivery is more important than yours and your baby's lives.
i was a c section. in fact i had my "day you you were removed" earlier this month
My mum had c-sections with all 3 of us. When she was in hospital with me, her stiches came undone.
If I hadn't had an emergency C-section, my son would have died. Would that have made you happy?
I had to have my second child by C-section as I had Plancenta Previa. This is a condition where the placenta covers the baby's exit from the womb. Had I gone into labour naturally, one or both of us would have died. Not real delivery? It's a process of getting a baby out of its mother's womb. What else you going to call it. Compared to a "natural" birth, the recovery is much longer. Having a C-section is not the easy option. But it may be the only option.
I had 2 C-sections with each of my (9lb14oz) babies. The first was an emergency, because despite pushing for 3 hours, the little guy wasn't descending. If this had been 200 years ago, we would both have died. I lost a ton of blood and it took me a long time to recover. Fast forward nearly 2 years, and I was nearing term with my second son. A couple of days before my scheduled C-section, my waters broke and I went into full-blown labor. The spinal anesthetic didn't work properly, so I was enjoying contractions as they operated on me to get my youngest out. It was excruciating. My takeaway: there is no easy way to give birth to a baby. And people who diss C-sections as an "easy way out" don't deserve any kind of response, because they don't know what they're talking about.
My mom had 4 c-sections, so I'd like to see someone try to tell her that a c-section isn't a real delivery. but lmao at your response cuz thats better than anything I could come up with lol
PSA: Please use “Vaginal birth” not “natural birth” when talking about how a human exited its mother. All births are natural.
Had 2 sections, one because they found an enormous tumor on my uterus and the baby couldn't get past it. The second because I developed a condition of producing too much amniotic fluid to the point my uterus started tearing so in i went early again for a section, nearly died on the table that time, it is definitely still delivery and anyone who thinks otherwise is a f*cktard
I think that the choice is always that of the woman giving birth... in case of elective C-sections, I mean. I would think that in the case of a medical emergency/danger to the child and/or mother the medical staff would probably weigh-in.
I guess it was "Digernos pizza??? ( spelling of Digernos is probably wrong but you get my drift!! lol). ;-}
I had 2 c-sections. Tell me to my face that I didn't "give birth" to my children and see what happens.
I hate people that say that! I was in labour for 37 hours before having a c section because my daughters head was too big and not coming down. I suffered through the long labour and then had MAJOR surgery with a much longer recovery time than natural birth. C-sections are definitely not a cop out or an easy delivery.
I had a family member tell me after I had my first c-section "I wish I'd done that. It would have been so much easier." Sure sure, go have major surgery and get sent home with a 7 pound bundle that needs 24/7 care. Easy peasy.
Just because a child doesn't go through the play-do fun factory of life doesn't mean it's not a real delivery. Coming out like toast can be more traumatic for both parties involved. The mother for being gutted like a fish and the child for not experiencing the squeezing action that helps the lungs clear everything. I was so happy when I stalled at 6 cm for 2 hours they gave me drugs, I passed out for half an hour, periodically waking up to babble to my sisters about the House of Representatives (it was the day after election day and that's what was on TV) and went from a 6 to a 9.
First world privilege .. being mad mom and baby didn’t die like they used to before c sections became medical practise
That’s funny. My mom had to have two. I was born that way and so was my younger brother. She wasn’t exactly given a choice.
How will we impart our children with the power to kill the Thane of Glamis and Cawdor without c-sections, huh?
Though we can’t expect memes to be completely neutral. “Meme-ing can be nihilistic artform and rewards really ugly behavior in some cases. Sometimes, what starts as a fairly inoffensive meme can grow into something really hateful, like Pepe the Frog. I could see that happening to Karen—though, I'm not really sold one way or the other on the debate."

According to Matt, it’s hard to find the exact origin of the Karen meme. However, he personally believes that the most convincing origin story is a bit from Dane Cook's 2005 comedy special , "The Friend That Nobody Likes" where Karen is given this title. "This is one of the earliest examples that we have to using a specific name to stand in for a whole type of person, and it's a comedic trope that we've seen dozens of times over the last 15 years," Matt explained the possible origins of the meme to Bored Panda.

I went to pay for some items I wanted to purchase at a museum store. As I took out my cash, the gentleman at he register asked me to please use a card, since they couldn't safely disinfect cash. I apologized and told him that I was sure that I was told that and I had simply forgotten. As I took out my card, I apologized again and said, " I'm sure that you get enough "Karens" in here, I would hate to be another one!" The look of sheer joy on his face was priceless! I like to think that we had made each others' day at that moment.

She suddenly gets mad at me because she always got a whole chicken whilst we had something else she didn't know about. Almost screaming at me how we scammed her and that we have horrible service. She bought the chicken anyways and then stormed off yelling she would tell everyone how we are disgusting scammers. Lady, it just a piece of chicken
She didnt even want the cut apart chicken, anyway. She sounds like she needs a chill pill
