It's based on the fact that impotence is treated as distinction while stopping your period is not. BEFORE YOU START TO DISLIKE ME: I DON'T think that is right. The problem is much more complex than just this ( Viagra helps with a lot of blood related problems while the pills helps with hormones for example) is just the way that they see it in society. Plus most of the ppl making the rules are actually men for what I know. Don't put a dislike on ppl that say this. I think that Most of them ( like me) do NOT agree with this policy. But this is how it works ATM instead fight for the right to have the pill cover by insurance or health policy.

logic is that: viagra solves problem (not being able to reproduce or having problem with sex) when birth control makes problem (stops being able to reproduce). Being able to reproduce is not sickness so birth control is not medicament, viagra is. Is that logical enough?
