It’s nice to put on rose-tinted glasses and create your own tiny happy bubble avoiding all the world’s problems. But pretending that they don’t exist won’t make them go away and being aware of them is important in trying to combat them.
However, people tend to do that as they refuse to deal with the negative emotions that sometimes can be crushing. Though not Reddit user Spartan1694, who wanted to hear only serious answers to the question “What are some of the most common dark realities people choose to live in denial about?”

Humans assume that memories are correct all of the time, however they are prone to errors and even change over time.
