When you hear the word "cute," snakes are probably the last thing to come to your mind. There's just something so cunning about them that we're unable to look past their slick skin and venomous fangs to see their true beauty.
However, Bored Panda is here to prove to you that these scary animals can actually be charming and adorable too! We've collected some of the cutest pictures, from tiny baby reptiles to grown-up serpents wearing quirky hats, in hopes that this list might just help you conquer your fear of snakes, called ophidiophobia. Though to choose the most adorable ones from more than 3.000 known species of snakes was a hard task, we think we succeeded in our mission.
Keep in mind that snakes can be very dangerous so you should never try handling a wild one, no matter how cute it might look! And though only 600 of the 3.000 are venomous, the choice to touch one might be the first and the last in your life. Snakes are best to be adored from a distance. All warnings aside, scroll down to check the cute snakes!

Load More Replies...Don't start with a random snake just because it's cute or cool. I suggest researching and watching Snake Discovery to make sure it doesn't get malnourished or have too little space or not enough uv light, having wrong conditions can lead to disease, parasites, deformities, and even death.
Load More Replies...I think it's a mistake to apply human traits like smiling to reptiles. While we're not sure how much cognitive abilities they have it is probable they are not having a good time being held, squeezed handled, or posed in party hats.
Open mouth ? suspect that means something like " imma eat you " or " imma poison my way outa this "

i very much appreciate seeing all these adorable danger noodles.
A reasarcher put a toy snake and a toy turtle by the side of a road as an experiment... the snake was three times more likely to be hit. I still can't believe people would intentionally hurt these tiny vulnerable noodles... in my area, the most "dangerous" snake is the one that will make your hands smell like garlic for a while if you pick them up. And yet people still treat them horribly. I mean just look at this cuteness! I found this little guy huddled under a plant pot outside in some pretty cold weather, and let him snuggle in my pocket for a while before he warmed up and went on his way
Snakes aren't that bad. Most snakes don't even want to hurt you. The only reason they would is as a defense mechanism. Have you even touched or held a ball python? They are the sweetest things in the universe. And even if they bite it doesn't hurt.
Load More Replies...I love snakes, and I respect them. I wish I could have one as a pet, but the thought of having to feed little other animals to it, makes me back out of the idea. Regardless, I would caress any snake I see, if it's safe, of course. Thank you for the post, I loved it!
There is out there a company called reptilinks that make complete food for snakes. They look like, well, little snake sausages, and are actually more complete nutritionally for a snake than feeding it a dead mouse or rat. So yes, snake sausages.

I tried! I really did! Some of the little snakes were cute to me, but I feel I’ll always be frightened by snakes.
I am TERRIFIED of spiders. But I appreciate them and find some species even to be attractive visually. Just because you are scared of or dislike something does not mean it deserves death.
Some of the photos are cute. But 8 can't see the cute in snakes being so afraid the play dead or trying to bite. Handle your animals and animals in general with care and consider their boundaries too.
I admit snakes CAN be cute. But seeing a wild venomous snake on my doormat still scare the poop out of me. No matter how tame or harmless a snake is I don't think I could ever touch one (even though some are pretty darn adorable).
I'm not afraid of snakes. But the words 'cute' and 'snake' just won't combine in my head.
I think it's great that we also romanticize snakes to remove the stigma that they're bad animals. All animals just respond on their senses and their environment. You can't blame them to be bad, that's how they are made.
Im glad that this is on here. I feel like alot of people need a different perspective about snakes, to see that they aren't terrible evil creatures. Because they aren't. If you are a snake owner, you'll know what I'm talking about. We need more of this stuff on Bored Panda!
I’ve never been scared of snakes but my parents won’t let me have one when I wanted one but I had 3 scorpions 🦂
Actually, Bored Panda, snakes and cute DO go together in my mind! I've been keeping snakes (non-venomous) for almost a decade, and think they're absolutely adorable. I wish more people were educated about them, instead of believing the superstitions and hype about them being "vicious killers." The snakes pictured here are harmless, and don't deserve the hate some folks have towards them... they can also make wonderful pets, believe it or not.
BRILLIANT I OWN A CORN SNAKE OF 4 1/2 FT HE SAID CALLED KELVIN HE LOVES HIS CUDDLES AND VERY CUTE XX
So tiny, never knew that snakes were so colorful and so many are tiny. Love the hats that were made for different snakes!
Still scared, but i think people are better off being scared, there are many snakes that could actually kill us?
Depends on where you live and what kind of snake you see. I live in Canada where most snakes are harmless, so seeing them is just an interesting experience rather than a dangerous one. But if you live in India or Australia... I can see why you'd be very cautious.
Load More Replies...My sister's ball python (currently going by Snekkie) is very affectionate and curious. In the four or so years since my sister adopted her, she's never bitten anyone, and is totally mellow when being handled. The key to animals such as snakes is to always respect them. They have boundaries like any other living being. Interact with them on their terms. Broadcast your intentions and never make quick movements. Snekkie is as much a part of the family as anyone else. She's a delight and has taught me a lot about snakes, and less conventional pets in general.

snakes don't belong around a computer, they belong outside in the wild!
I think this made it worse. Snake in a top hat will just have an easier time charming its way past the doorman.
I see what you guys are trying to do and respect it but It's still a big No from me dawg. Just shivering thinking how big some of them can 😱😱😱
i'm sorry but this did not help i still hate snakes this doesn't change the fact that they are cold blooded vicious venomous demons. I watched snakes on a plane a few days ago still reeling
Actually, the majority of snakes (and all in these photos) are non-venomous; and rarely are they "vicious." Maybe educate yourself a little before villifying them? Funny thing is, most of the snakes used in that movie were the MOST harmless and gentle species (like ball pythons and corns). And I doubt they used a single venomous snake.
