50 People Who’ve Hit New Levels Of Cringe And Got Posted In The ‘Cringetopia’ Online Group
Watching cringey stuff is painful. Our eyes are running away from it, our gut is repulsed, maybe even our muscles are involuntarily contracting. But we can't help it. Teens congratulating their classmates because they are black, a woman licking a toilet bowl in hopes of starting the 'coronavirus challenge'... For some reason, we need to see how these things play out. Even if our body is refusing to allow it.
The subreddit r/Cringetopia is a gold mine for this type of content. With 1.1 million active members constantly sharing some of the cringiest things they can find on the Internet, it's just getting bigger and bigger, too. Continue scrolling and check out what they have collected so far!

It’s Actually Quite Sophisticated Stuff
Some people are willing to explain stuff, doesn't mean they are condescending. I also don't really see the point of "acting" dumb...
I don't really get the point of doing that, except of course infuriating a total stranger (which I personnaly wouldn't consider funny)
Infuriating a total stranger? Who commented on HER Twitter??
Load More Replies...I presume this woman is trying to invite men into an act of mansplaining. However, if she acts dumb, then of course men (or anyone, for that matter) would dumb it down!
I'd bet my last dollar that she only uses it on guys who start the conversation with "my dear", "sweetie", etc. We don't have to invite certain ones to mansplain, it's usually quite obvious who they are.
Load More Replies...If I can't get a man to listen to my idea I tilt my head to the side, put on a vacant facial expression, and say 'can I ask a stupid question?' If I do that and pose the idea as a question, suddenly they hear me. Then it is suddenly their idea. But at least I've got the project or task moving forward.
I didn't realize that they fell right into the trap until I read it again XD
I don't get the point. If you claim you don't understand something, don't be pissy that people take you for dumb and explain everything from the start. Nobody can read your mind that you're playing
First time "a no-brainer" applies to a person rather than a fact.
ktkins, if you haven't figured it out, there is NO LIMIT to the level of dumb men will assign to women. This sounds like a lot of fun.
He is totally right! She is a toxic female. Maybe nobody will ever explain anything to her anymore and she will stay the dumb little s**t she is.
Are you kidding? The dumber she appears, the more endearing men will find her.
Load More Replies...But it actually makes her look really dumb..ANYONE can play the role of dumb and ANYONE can explain. For men to realize women are NOT dumb is to actually hear them speak intelligently. This is NOT mansplaining. But it was funny.
But she knows she has an IQ of 165, so why would she care? As for speaking intelligently, men ignore that as well and have a name for it because they feel threatened.
Load More Replies...So, in other words, she's training men to be unwelcome explainers? Then she has NO right to complain when they do.
This works if actual eye contact ever takes place. If a guy is talking to you like you're a moron, chances are he's talking at you nipples, the microphones that makes it possible for your ears to pick up and send the info to your brain. The tapping on the nipple and the obligatory "blow" from pursed lips, followed by "testing, is this thing on?" Is a pretty good indicator too.
That's a made-up term created by women who aren't intelligent enough to carry it off. This new world is full of made-up terms created to cover up other deficiencies.
Load More Replies...Frieder Paulus, a psychologist at the Lübeck University in Germany, told Quartz that embarrassment is social: it tells us when we have violated a social norm and makes us feel bad for doing so. But it's not clear why exactly we have the capacity to cringe or as scientists call it, feel vicarious embarrassment.
We feel others' embarrassment because we are empathetic—we imagine how someone else thinks and feels because it determines how we treat others and cooperate with one another. Feeling second-hand embarrassment might be just a byproduct of a more important trait, much like how the belly button is a symbol of the umbilical cord.

Why do some people just spew garbage from their mouths about the things they do not know about? It's awful if a tornado drill image can be twisted to form such hate in people.

Teaching "abstinence-only" simply doesn't work. Teach the kids about safe and consensual sex and about birth control. If you really care about fewer children getting pregnant and requesting abortions, this is the only reasonable way to go. (Nothing wrong in abstinence as an idea, though.)

I like elon musk made an appearance SEVERAL times during this article.
It literally went from cringy and somewhat wholesome fun to frikin sex, racist, and news related bullcrap. 41094728_6...c9feff.gif
The internet doesn't make people stupid, it just makes stupid people more visible.
I have said it before, and i will again...big companies need to start saying they will look at everything when hiring, they will see you eat a pod, lick a toilet, disrespect atrocities, be racist, homophobic etc and you will never get a job. They need to do it so that kids see and make better choices, because something is not working.
These people make me look like a genius. Shame so many are still in the gene pool. Now I can sleep the sleep of the just.
My friend's little dog got out right as we were finishing up a walk, came running up to my dog and I didn't realize he bit her in the nose. She had 11 pups so she just rolled him and scared the pee out of him (even though he tried to bite her again), looked really surprised when I was like "whoa!" Then I was so off-kilter that when my friend reached out her hand I F*****G SHOOK IT. I forgot she loaned me a coffee cup I was still holding. I now have to fake my death and move to Mongolia.
Ripley Dog - I enjoyed your post, though enjoyed isn't really the right words it's more schadenfraude XD (if it helps, off the top of my head, i regularly respond with "you too" when a shop person says "thanks for shopping at [example]" then scurry away. Or my son's favourite tale to reminisce over: when we were walking into the supermarket and the wind flipped my dress up [thank God I was wearing leggings so it wasn't as bad but still!])
