Twitter users have been sharing the eerie and downright creepy things that their kids have said after psychic medium and empath Melisa Gillett started up a viral thread, sharing what her grandson told her. That’s right, we’re about to enter into the creepy realm of real-life ghost stories.
There are literally chills running up and down my spine as I was reading through these paranormal posts about kids possibly having the 6th sense and I really hope that you’ll feel the same way. One day in 7th grade I suddenly started crying at school and a migraine and stomach ache followed but it was more of a worry stomach ache rather than nausea. My dad actually answered the phone and actually came get me which was extremely rare. When we got back to his house he got a call that my uncle (moms brother) had committed suicide. He had to tell my mom and I'll never forget the pain we all felt. My dad never looked at me the same and one day not long after I cried and told him to wear his seatbelt because I didn't want to lose him and he flipped his semi and was saved by his seatbelt. I miss him so much that I wish I could just get a sign. The last one was my sister waking me up and I told her I knew already before she could tell me he passed away. I dreamed it. I dreamed I was giving the eulogy at my grandpas funeral the morning I was woke up to learn of his passing. Just open your self up to it and you'll be surprised by what happens

When my son was four his grandfather passed away. When I picked my son up at daycare I saw that he was sad. When I asked him why he seemed sad he said because Papaw died. When asked how he knew his response was "the lady in the white dress told me". No one at daycare knew.

I still say children are still in touch with the before/after world, where some of us go. after we die, and where some are before being born. Like in the movie Soul... And we probably shouldn’t be afraid of the idea of our ancestors visiting us.

People often forget that children are closer to the veil than most people, but often grow out of it as they get older.
According to spirituality and aging expert Kuepfer, people like to believe that we can control life by putting it in boxes for our own understanding. "Science has become the religion of our age—it is what we have learned to trust to explain life. But much of the wonder of our experience is beyond explanation. I had a 3 y.o. at church come up to me and ask, "do you remember who you were before?:" So I asked him who he was before. He started talking away. I could not hear over the din what he was saying, but he definitely knew who he was in his former lifetime. Neat kid named Hunter.

I've always thought that children actually remember "soul-experiences" for a certain amount of time after they are born. They lose those memories as they age and the experiences of this life begin to take over

This broke my heart a little. Gettysburg was a really difficult and tragic battle and there are reportedly a lot of ghosts in the area because of it. I would give the man in the uniform a hug, regardless of what side he was on. No one deserves to see the horrors of that battle in person.

Hons, five year old's seldom have more knowledge than a tour guide. His chances of reading that information is low. Young kids believe things like this because they are innocent, as the age they lose those abilities because of "life". Doubt over rides it.

Definitely ghosts were around and he would have seen them, they would have spoken to him and also quite possibly he may have been one of them in the battle in the previous life and may have some memory of it (sometimes we can see memories of our previous lives) and especially at his age, he would definitely be more open to the other worlds, seeing things including his own previous lives memories.

Very cool! Right on to that, first hand experience! Maybe the spirits waited for a kid or person to come along that was open so the tour guides get it right! If I were a tour guide I would’ve been writing this down, or let the kid help out with the tour and re order them, so I’d get the accurate account of how it really was!

Naturally, everyone’s a bit of a skeptic. But once you widen your gaze, you start coming across things that can’t be explained by conventional logic alone.
As Live Science points out, getting solid evidence (pun very much intended) about the existence of ghosts and spirits is incredibly difficult and there are plenty of contradictory accounts between people.

Oooo.... that’s rlly cool. My sister once had a dream about a small boy running toward her while she was crying waterfalls and felt really sad... when she woke up she researched the name she remembered and that woman had actually existed. The clincher here? Her young son died at age 4.

They do say that dogs have a sixth sense. My dog once jumped off the sofa (from a deep sleep) at about 11pm and started growling at the corner of the living room, then his tail went between his legs and he backed out of the room never taking his eyes off the corner of the room. To say I was freaked out is an under statement! I pegged it out of the house and spent the next week staying at my parents house down the road!

2 months after my ex fiance passed, my dog started 'following something moving in my room'. at first he would growl at it. i wondered, due to other occurrences at the house, if it WAS my ex... i told my dog as this would happen daily, that its ok, its (my ex), and he is a friend. after a year of this, my dog would suddenly jump up, look at a spot in my room, 'play bow' and 'talk'. he would react as if someone was there. after the many things that happened in that house once my ex died, i believe it WAS him. hurts, but makes me feel comforted.

On the flip side, there are genuine psychics, spirit mediums, and exorcists, too, who aim to help people (even if they sometimes fail). Completely discounting their experiences would be unfair, just as accepting them word-for-word would be, too.

im greek and when i was little we were having yamista for lunch and for the longest time i hated it (i now love it) until that day, while my grandma was in the other room getting some clothes out of the laundry room. when my grandfather(who had died about 3 years before i was born) came up to the table and said, ¨sophia, eat it, i think you will like it.¨ so i did and i did like it. before he disappeared he told me to write him letters and draw pictures for him on his birthday and that he likes to see my ideas on paper. to this day still write the letters. no one in my family believes this happened but i won´t stop believing it no matter what they say.

There are lots of small indications around us that the paranormal might be, well, normal. I’ll let you in on a little secret, dear Pandas, if you promise not to tell anyone else. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had prophetic dreams about small snippets from everyday life that later turn out to be true, just like most of my family members. And while you could try to explain déjà vu away by saying that it’s someone’s brain short-circuiting, being the nosy scientist that I am, I’ve tested my dreams, again and again, to make sure I’m not making things up.

My conclusion? Everything checks out and I’m still waiting for my letter to go study at Hogwarts. I had something like that, my boyfriend had just passed away, I was coming home from my second job, the roads were very icy, I hit a patch, and did a 10 and almost his a guardrail. After I got composed, I could smell the smell of his cigarettes in the car, I feel like he helped me. Love it

My youngest daughter was 4 when she said 'I am so glad that I am Elise's little sister this time.... last time I was her mother and she hated me.' I had to sit down and get her to repeat it.... she said she was an Amish and had 11 kids, Elise was her youngest and they didnt get on. Elise is now her big sister (3 yrs older) they are 34 and 31 now and still best friends

What makes this comical is that this kind of conversation is typical in circles that also indulge in the notion that women are not simply creatures ruled by emotion... It's comical because of the irony. Is irony sexist? If so, why indulge in it? Why perpetuate the stereotype? If not, then it is just what it is, I guess... On one hand, an attempt to force, to shoe-horn reality into an ideological perspective. On the other, an acceptance that results in understanding. After all, females do frequently indulge in that, typically, females have higher levels of certain hormones (e.g. oxytocin, which is known for its role in bonding, particularly in mothers, but lesser known for its role in protective aggression, particularly in fathers). Frequently proud to claim the merit. Frequently indignant of the fault... It's a funny topsy-turvy world that such sentiments are causing everyone to live in, and for children to be born into... Very funny. Very comical that the mothering instinct seeks to jeopardise future generations, all for its own immediate gratification.

When I was 7 I had a brain abscess, but they didn't have a cure at the time. I was in a coma at the time, but I remember being in a white room, lying on a bed with a big machine above me, someone holding my right hand, two or three people standing at the right end of the bed, and I was watching it all from the upper corner of the room, which was bathed in light. When I was 15 I described it to my dad and we went white--he was the one holding my hand, they were doing an angiogram on me (this was 1970, before MRI's), and the people at the end of the table were doctors waiting for the results of the angiogram so they could wheel me into surgery as soon as they got them. I'd had an EEG the day before which showed the abscess; the angiogram was to show more detail, but there was nothing--it literally disappeared overnight, just slowly enough that the infection didn't overwhelm my system. The bright light I saw must have been the afterlife.
Scientifically, déjà vu has been associated with temporal lobe epilepsy and neurological anomalies related to electrical discharge in the brain, thus creating a strong sensation that an event has happened before. But as some of us know from firsthand experience, this doesn’t account for the fact that some of us have quite literally dreamt the scenes days, weeks, and sometimes months in advance.

Agreed. This one reminded me of my little brother who did the same thing with my grandfather. My grandfather and brother were only alive for 4 months at the same time and this post brought up the amazing memories of him speaking about knowing my grandfather and telling stories he wouldn't know.

I have at times noticed a phantom smell, something flowery, like a flowery perfume. I recall also at times interpreting that smell as suggesting the possibility of the presence of my mum. Two problems stand out with that: I normally can't smell flowers very well (most just smell like "green" or plants is the best I can describe it as) and I don't recall my mum ever wearing perfume, least of all a flowery one.

Olfactory hallucination. Not surprising, if it's something you've smelled a lot and might invoke strong emotions - strong emotions might also invoke it, or something you smell might be misinterpreted. Do people really think that every sensory experience is reliable, as though we have an unlimited bank of knowledge stored in us that is just waiting to be utilised as opposed to having to utilise fallible senses in order to populate a perpetually dwindingling bank of information (read as "predicting machine")?

When my sister once came to visit to announce she was pregnant, I somehow ruined her surprise by announcing 'You are pregnant!' the moment she entered the door. I don't know how I knew it, she had some sort of energy coming out of her and I felt it. I was 16 at the time.

Amazing! I have these things sometimes, I went to dinner with my brother and his wife and my parents one day, overnight I dreamt that my s.in. law was pregnant. I rang my mother and told her about the dream and she went quiet, I took this to mean that she was. She said, that no-one was being told about it, I guess I picked up a vibe!

Do you think ghosts can wear clothes? Here's another way to look at it: ever been unconscious? Like, knocked out, not just sleeping or whatever? If yes, then did you have thoughts such as those? Do you think you were even capable? Do you think you were even capable of caring if you're capable? I think, personally, I'd rather remember a nan who appreciated the life she did have and was realistic over one who appeared naked and without body in my room for kicks, and presumably forever, because we all know grandchildren are eternal manifestations...

Hmm. He might've just been telling you of his imaginary adventures. I volunteered in "the toddler room" (a nursery for kids 2-4 pretty much) at my church, and I heard various stories of going to the moon or being a fireman/police.

Those are my dreams... I had a dream about this boy in my hallway. There is a white wall outside my door The boy was about 4 years old, I was talking with my friend on my bed Suddenly I saw the boy and my friend disappeared... The boy was walking around in my hallway outside my door writing something on the wall I remember it was written EVERYWHERE and it was in red... The boy was in time-lapse so he was basically running around I crawled toward the door, saying « Little boy, little boy? » I could hardly move The boy ignored me The dream started over, and it was the same thing again Except this time, when I reached out for him and called him this time, he turned around and grabbed my wrist- Cutting off the circulation in my hand When he turned he didnt have the face of a child... But of a demon

You can't judge me for this. My nonnie passed away on December 5th 2018, my family still pays for her phone bills. I sometimes still call her phone just so i can hear her voice in her voicemail. I also inherited her car. At night, i can sometimes hear her voice singing to me at night, and I can smell her. I use her perfume but even when I'm not wearing her perfume, I can still smell her. Her name is Penny and whenever something important, sad, or hurtful happens in our life we will find pennies near us or spots we end up in.

Years n years ago, when my siblings and I were kids all living in one house still, one of my brothers came out from his room in the morning and said he had the weirdest dream his friend was floating in our house and said he came to say goodbye. Later that day we got a call from his friends family that said friend had died during the night in a vehicle. I'll never ever forget that. One of my brothers took his life just over 10 years ago now....the night it was happening i had this horrible feeling inside my chest that something was terribly wrong, something bad was happening and i told my husband about the feeling how i couldn't shake it. The next morning I got the call from my brothers room mate he had found him (suicide). I don't believe in this stuff...but then s**t like this has happened to me and it makes me question everything yet i still remain skeptical

My oldest son (age 7 at the time) desperately wanted to learn to ride a 2-wheeled bike with no training wheels, but his coordination was a little slower than most kids at that age, so he was struggling. Still, every day, I went out with him and helped him practice - and every day, he fell off the bike. One day, after falling yet again, he stomped into the house and declared he was never riding again - he was just so frustrated that he didn't seem to have the coordination to balance and ride. The next morning, he got up and asked me to help him try to ride his bike again. I went out with him and grabbed the back of the bike, as usual, to steady him and walk behind him to hold the bike up - but this time, he said, "No, Mom - I can do it. I learned how in a dream last night." Believe it or not, he got on the bike and rode off down the sidewalk without wobbling or falling - he rode perfectly from that moment on. No idea what or who was in the dream that taught him how to do it.
