26 Times Kids Realized Their Parents Were Cooler Than Them And Shared These Pics For A New TikTok Challenge
It’s easy to forget our parents were once carefree youngsters, not unlike ourselves, looking for ways to find themselves a place in this competitive world. So when your dad tells you all the girls used to like him, the chances are you won’t exactly be buying into that in the first place.
So this new TikTok trend has got people sharing the coolest pics of their young parents winning the looks department.
From iconic mom in the '80s to a bombshell dad with a wide smile, the pictures totally explain how these two landed each other for one hell of a lifetime ride. I mean, those looks you proudly carry didn’t come from nowhere!

Your dad looks like he's cosplaying Castiel from Supernatural. He's a very handsome guy.
super cute as a youngling, super classy-looking as an adult :3 honestly, some people won the genetics lottery
Asians age amazingly well. My wife, age 59 still looks like she is in her 30s.
Is this a Hollywood scenario ? Glasses made him unattractive ? Looks about the same, a few years older.
For most people, having attractive looks is like winning a genetic lottery you can thank your ancestors for. But researchers say that just like with other human traits, “there is not a ‘master gene’ that determines a person’s attractiveness,” Qiongshi Lu, assistant professor in the department of statistics at University of Wisconsin-Madison said in a statement. “Instead, it is most likely associated with a large number of genetic components with weak effects.”
And in reality, it’s just so much more complicated than simply inheriting your good looks from your parents. All of the different combinations of these genes come together to determine how you look. Even though we get all our DNA from our parents, each of us has a unique combination of genes. Sometimes that means we don’t look like them at all!
Moreover, what makes the genetics of our appearance even more complex is that your environment can change the way you look too. Spending time in the sun can make your skin darker, your hair lighter, or cause freckles. Getting enough food and vegetables can help you grow taller. Staying physically active can improve your fitness and so on. These external aspects directly influence the way you look.
This is Dawn Zulueta, one of the most loved actresses in the Philippines in the 80s.
I actually think he looks even better now 😁

Sally’s video featuring a photo of her beautiful mom went viral, amassing 9.1M views. Having in mind that Sally only started TikTok this year, “because it looked fun, and it has been!” it’s really a great accomplishment.
“When my mom’s photos went viral (now over 9M views!!), I was honestly not very surprised because she’s the most lovely person to have walked this planet,” Sally said. On the other hand, sadly, she added that “I was not expecting this level of racism on such a wholesome post, however.”
“Seeing my parents so young in the photos wasn’t surprising to me at all. A lot of people online are in love with her big smile in the second young photo and my mom still has the same smile at 64 years old,” Sally said.
Like he walked straight out of that New Kids On The Block casting.
Oop too young XD if i was still in high school he would look cute, but he just looks like a tiny baby xD
looking at these post mess with my brain. these late teen kids sharing their parents back in the day I'm like Ummm I think I dated him. feeling my age. lol
What is this when parents pictures are like from 2000s?? God I'm too old for internet.
tbh it looks like the difference between me on a hangover and me after hot yoga
Load More Replies...She is beautiful in both photos! And, I really miss the big, comfy, warm sweaters of the 90s. Actually, I don't miss them -- because, I never stopped wearing them!
Nah the device she's holding wouldn't be from the 90s. I think it's just a misprint, the one on the left is her mom now I think
Load More Replies...It's the moustache. Has to be the moustache. Super Troopers anyone? Who wants a moustache ride.
Why was Chrissie M. voted down? She does look sad in the first photo. Maybe she was caught by camera unawares, but she still looks sad. It's only the truth
Well, most people downvote if they disagree....and, quite frankly, I can see why they may. I dont see sadness at all...It looks to me like she is simply listening intently to someone on the other side of the table. I dont think it is anything personal towards Chrissie...folks just dont agree with the comment.
Load More Replies...Like I implied, previously.... Keep your smile, and the attitude behind it, and you keep your youth and nice looks !
Load More Replies...Was wondering why the one on the right looked so familiar. Then I realised it's Billy from Stranger Things
there's nearly 100% your dad drive 70's Mustang with that kind of look
she looks like she 14 in the right photo and maybe 20 in the left one
OMG she is right, the first thing I said "those lips are 100% perfect, wow"
In her 20s...she's a rebellion leader, you can see the fierceness in her eyes. Nobody messes with her.
He looks like the kid that knocked up his teacher and now they have like 3 kids!
Great...remind people that the ravages of time have made them old and ugly.
Couldn't said it better myself! Also, why are you surprised your parents were good looking? I do NOT like this post 🙄
Load More Replies...These folks still look good, just naturally older—-though I swear a couple of them have not aged a day since the younger picture was taken! If you start taking care of yourself when you’re young, you get a great payoff when you get older. So, eat properly, exercise, get enough sleep, don’t sleep in your makeup, watch your sun exposure, stay hydrated, don’t be a chronic party animal, watch your alcohol intake, avoid recreational drugs, and do your best to manage stress. The younger you start, the greater the payoff.
SO people in their 50s or 60s were once teenagers, or 20 somethings and "hip" Wow, what a revelation this is.
I have a pic of my mom with her hair dyed red, in a white mini and thigh-high boots, and, yes, she was way cooler than I ever was.
Yeah why didn't any of them believe their parents were/ are good looking? Thats insulting
Young and not thinking, and not seeing the rents as full human beings, just mom and dad.
Load More Replies...Why do parents feel the need to tell their children that they had all the girls/boys in their time? (Really how does that come about in a conversartion?). And why wouldn' their children not believe them?
I mean, my mother is from an era where looks were lauded even more than now (although i feel like the age of insta is making us more superficial again) anyway being attractive is/was a source of pride for her.

my fav pic of my dad isn't when he was a teen; he's about 12. have always been told that, as the youngest of 6, he would help w/chores then disappear into the woods for hours. his mom didn't worry as all she did was send the dog after him to call him home. he ended up being analyst for govt. very quiet/stoic but incredibly thoughtful. that young pic shows a young face with old eyes-like he is contemplating the universe and has some of the answers. love that man & so fortunate to be 63 w/a dad still living and sharing his life with me.
