FDR was just like a modern day republican, honestly. I don't know why people glorify him so much besides WWII. He was also corrupt and committed many atrocities against Japanese immigrants. Keep im mind that the Republicans and Democrats were switched before Nixon's presidency.

Should we now cheer for the struggles of every single white person over the few that caused colonial issues to this day? Should we blame all black people because some commit crime? I get not wanting to get stuck behind someone who's going slowly on (correct me if I'm wrong) a road that doesn't have a speed limit/if it does, it's ridiculously high compared to most places in the world, trust me. I feel the situation A James is posting about is different, though.

I'm not American and I don't agree with pretty much anything Charlie condoned, but I completely agree with you. Nobody deserves to be mur‍dered for believing something alone. I'm personally of the belief that if you act on it and it harms others (eg: the orange one) then yeah, maybe...? 🤷🏽‍♀️ But, seriously, being k‍illed simply for expressing your beliefs? No. Argue respectfully, like Charlie did. He had his views, and lots of people -- including me -- disagreed with those. But he never took the lower road (which normally I'd say be resorting to insulting the person with whom he disagreed. Kil‍ling them should never enter the equation).

American Politics. I may not agree with Charlie Kirk, but this is just disgusting. Murdering a literal father over politics is just cruel. I didn't agree with everything he said, but America is a society where we can agree to disagree peacefully in civilly. America is not a society where we MURDER someone because they had a different political opinion.

Anyone who's saying that he deserved it, YOU don't deserve to live in a Democratic Nation. You do NOT deserve to be an American. A real American lives in a democracy where you can disagree with each other, and still live in a peaceful society. A false American is one who kills his opponent because they're different from him. Charlie wasn't a politician, he was a normal person just like us.

You do realise that the piece itself has already guided you to how you should feel. Let's say a piece about the migrants. Did it use words like "illegal" or "unlawful"? Did it mention how many have come over this year? Did it balance that by mentioning how many legally permitted migrants entered in the same period? Did it quote the Greens and LibDems or did it quote Farage and Badenoch? I don't know about other parts of the world but in the UK you can know a person's outlook by the paper they read, and the pieces in the papers are written to appeal to that audience, so you're already being manipulated - by the words used, by the balance, by the facts laid bare and those glossed over, by the "sources close to Downing Street" information that is basically made up rubbish to play to their target audience. Besides, sometimes the comments are the best part. Plus, you don't *have* to read them.

Tell that to my dad (Vietnam and Korea). He has gone through so much for this d**n country. He has 4 purple hearts (wounded in action), and too many medals to count. The amount of trauma and PTSD he had to go through was incomprehensible, but he was still an incredible person, even from what happened to him. This is why I thank him for his service.

It's not weird, but 100% reasonable and logical. The autobahn is for fast driving. Vehicles whose maximum possible speed is below 61km/h, are not even allowed on the autobahn, they could disturb the flow (if there is a flow) and lead to dangerous situations. There are sections without speed limit, you can push your car to the max. Theoretically. So, every stop on the autobahn is just dangerous. If your car get broken out of the sky, or you have an accident - you will be not fined for the stop (as long you didn't caused an accident), like when unforeseeable things happen. Getting out of fuel is foreseeable. Easy, right? Greetings from Germany! :)
