I agree. Sometimes the quality has actually decreased with the higher price. I do wonder why people drive huge trucks since they are "gas hogs", costing them more money. Besides, depleting natural resources is harmful to our planet and worsens global warming. (Note that global warming refers to melting ice caps, which cause both too hot AND too cold, or weather extremes.)

To be open and honest, we are told by mental health professionals, is the best way to behave. Yet, emotional unavailability and emotional immaturity are very common in our American society. Being authentic (behavior consistent with values) versus being shallow and superficial (pandering to societal expectations). That goal is a genuine struggle, and one we may have to pursue on our own. I think the primary goal is to feel good about yourself, without knocking down people who are different than you. Making someone feel bad, such as calling them fat, will not make you any thinner, for example.

Sorry, but I remember the idea of "being yourself" as an ideal way to be, yet it never was actually respected. It seems to me that being unique is both encouraged and discouraged, at the same time. Labels, social classes, categories, and stereotypes seem to be required by a civilized society.

Employee Follows The "Customer Is Always Right" Rule Literally After Being Written Up, The Boss Pays With His Job

As far as I know, worker ( employee) representatives in America are for employers who have a union. So, respectfully, I can't imagine that every employer in all of France has representatives at disciplinary meetings. Some people believe anything they read. I think it's important to be carefully specific. Thanks.

Agreed that perfect comebacks are obviously written in the script. More realistic is when the actor/character can't think of a good response and is struggling.

For me, it's 2 main things: 1. When people, especially guys, nod (without one word)in a way to communicate ( e.g., come here, go there, etc.) 2. Smoking cigarettes makes you "cool".

Down vote me if you must, but I'm disabled with severe asthma and by the time I get through the store and struggle to unload the cart, it's all I can do to just get in the car. And the cart corrals are never near the disabled parking. Can't this exception be made?

Trying to unlock my (manual) front door lock with the key fob from my car. I always lock / unlock my van with the buttons because it prevents me from accidentally locking the keys in the van. But a couple of times when I got home I pointed the fob at my front door and expected it to do something. Brain fart moment. At least I live where nobody sees me do this. lol
