I think a lot of well-intentioned folks still struggle a bit with the male-to-female vs female-to-male pronouns/gendering so I'm going to spell it out here to help those people understand this. We always use the gender / pronouns of the person *as they see themselves*. Forget about what they're transitioning from, how far they are in the transition, none of that matters. Abigail is declaring that despite being seen by a man and going by a different name (aka "dead name") in public prior to that day, she is actually a woman / transwoman and will now be presenting as such. "Hot Take Harry" saw only someone presenting very effectively as a woman and assumed that Abigail is trying to transition to male (in which case it would have been "I'm a trans man"). "You will never be a real man" is meant to be an insult to someone "masquerading" as a man but is actually true, because transwomen raised as boys have never felt that they are actually men - that is why they transition.

I've gotten to the point that if I were at the hospital with a loved one and I knew for a fact something like this twat was taking up a valuable ER bed, I would physically remove her from it. Most vocal people on left and right on the US don't know what "socialist" means. They think universal, single-payer healthcare is a socialist program, for example. Joke aside: why do so many people think that it’s better to belong to some new category instead of the old ones? Isn’t categorizing people MORE instead of less just more of what’s wrong? One inhaler with 200 uses is about $65 with no insurance (last time a paid for one was in 2018). You only use it when you can't tough it out. The inhaler is the cheap part, the doctors visit is the real kicker at around $200+. You can go ER as well and just don't pay.

There are many many countries that don't fluoridate the water, such as: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland, Iceland, and Italy. They still have great deal hygiene. You need fluoride but you only really need it topically, and it's in most toothpastes. I know it's an unpopular opinion to be sceptical of water fluoridation but the research was based on a tiny sample size created in the 1950s. It's like the second vitamin C panacea thing.

YES, topical fluoride absolutely works, I am not anti fluoride. But it's in toothpaste already. There is no link between ingested fluoride that is mandated in drinking water and better teeth except in parts of the world that already have better dentistry and diets. These better teeth are also happening where water fluoridation is not done: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, etc etc These places still have great dental hygiene that has been increasing despite no water fluoridation. Look ingest fluoride if you want, I don't care. My problem with it is that there's no definitive study that actually proves it works ingested and once you mass medicate in drinking water you can't take it out. I drank fluoridated water as a kid and it did nothing for my teeth. I don't as an adult, I still use it topically, and my teeth are actually way better then they were because of floss, waterpik etc.

That's great for some of you would able to vote within an hour, but that's not the case for all Americans in all places in America. When I lived in a smallish city (twin towns really) in central Illinois where you had to go to a specific polling place dependent on your residential address (you couldn't just vote at any voting location), I could possibly be as quick as 30 mins or as long as 3 hours. The point was and is that we need to making voting more accessible to all willing, registered voters.

Many of us in the US wish this was the case but little by little certain government representatives have been making it more difficult for people to vote by limiting polling places and the days/times that people can vote. This results are the ridiculously long lines that we've seen in many areas around the country. I live in Rochester NY which is upstate, near Buffalo and about the same size. I can walk to my polling site and the longest I've ever waited was maybe 1/2 hour but it was usually less than 15 minutes. Ease of voting all depends on where you live and who your representatives are. Unfortunately common sense has nothing to do with some cases.

But you went looking for counter-arguments. Which means you were open to seeing a different point of view. That automatically makes you smarter than any of these... individuals. There are only two ways you can change an opinion with an argument (or with reasoned discussion). 1) If you don't really care about the topic at hand. I think cats are better than dogs. But since I'm allergic to both and can have neither, if you want to shout at me that dogs are better than cats, I'll take your word for it, since I will never have either for a pet. 2) If you are OPEN to having your opinion changed. I am about 75% sure that Blackpool is a crappy place to go on holiday, but that remaining 25% means that if someone gave me reasoned explanations of a tourist family experience, I could change my mind. (I struggled to find non-political examples here!)

These people vote. These people get a say in who sets the laws that affect your lives. Now, I'm not saying it's wrong that they vote. But they vote based on opinions instead of facts. Here's an opinion: humanity, if this is representative, is screwed. These are the worst examples of what evolution has done. Here's a fact: evidence suggests we share DNA with them. But since we also share DNA with a banana, use this information as you will. I'm off to eat an unhealthy amount of chocolate until I feel better.

Terrifying isn't it? I live in Missouri so I'm right here in the thick of it. And I can tell you, there is never enough chocolate.

I DID have my opinion changed by an argument: Sad to say, I emotionally supported the Vietnam War until another student had a shouting match with me about it. I wasn't convinced immediately, but when I went looking for counter-arguments, I found out that he was right. It can happen.

But you went looking for counter-arguments. Which means you were open to seeing a different point of view. That automatically makes you smarter than any of these... individuals. There are only two ways you can change an opinion with an argument (or with reasoned discussion). 1) If you don't really care about the topic at hand. I think cats are better than dogs. But since I'm allergic to both and can have neither, if you want to shout at me that dogs are better than cats, I'll take your word for it, since I will never have either for a pet. 2) If you are OPEN to having your opinion changed. I am about 75% sure that Blackpool is a crappy place to go on holiday, but that remaining 25% means that if someone gave me reasoned explanations of a tourist family experience, I could change my mind. (I struggled to find non-political examples here!)
