Since the moment a child is born, all parents want to document every step, smile and laugh they make so after a decade or two they could show their already grown-up child his innocent and reckless childhood and of course, to keep those memories alive. Most parents take tons of photos of their children taking their first steps, tasting new flavors, playing with other children or celebrating their first birthdays but there are also some parents who decide to ask artists to help them record their childhood.
One of these artists is Liubov Firstova whose artwork we're about to introduce to you. Liubov is a very talented Russian artist who is also known as liubofirst on her Instagram account. She masterfully turns regular children's pictures into illustrations that look like they are straight out of a comic book. These cheeky illustrations are a direct depiction of the pictures of children except they are much more exaggerated and vibrant making them larger than life. It looks as if her characters are about to come to life!
So far Liubov has more than 58.6k combined followers on her Instagram account and people really seem to love her work. After all, who wouldn't want their child illustrated in such a cheeky and cute way?

I don't personally love the artist's style, but I can't deny that she is very skilled nonetheless.

Same. I don't much like the way she changes the general shape of their faces. The artist does have talent, I just wouldn't ever particularly want to own a piece of art done by her.

All these children are so beautiful! I don't really like any or the interpretations.. I feel like maybe if they had done them on adults it would be less weird, because the kids are already big eyed and stuff. I honestly have no idea, I don't really like these. But the children are so, SO gorgeous!

This artist is talented and I like her style, but it seems like reality isn't good enough for us anymore. Kids don't need to be cutesied up, and after looking at the artist's versions, the regular kids seem plain. That's not good.

I don't deny the artist's skills but basically drawing/painting a photo with bigger eyes is not 'making a cartoon character out of a kid' in my book.
