Canada is truly a place of wonder. With its nature and kind-hearted people, among other things, there’s much to love about the country. However, as with any point on the globe, Canada is not exempt from being meme-ified. The main reason for this is the fact that Canada is globally subject to a wide variety of stereotypes, which range from wholesome to “very Canadian.”

Whilst the term “stereotype” can be associated with negativity, this list of memes celebrates the unique nature of Canadian culture and quirks. After all, the internet simply loves to have a laugh at Canada in the best of ways.

Here at Bored Panda, we have collected some popular memes about Canada. Scroll down to see them all, and if you enjoy this list, consider leaving a comment and upvoting the entries you like the most, eh?

Why are you even there, what attracts you to this place? No access to food or water, must be the sheer bloodlust lol.

In the winter, those things migrate to where I live. Canada, I hope you take them back soon.

They probably have a nest nearby! They become extremely territorial when babies are involved.

We Canadians have a reputation for being polite & nice. The reason for that? Because the Canada Goose holds all the mean, nasty & rude of all of us & can/will attack unprovoked, even if you're not interacting with it in any way. Don't turn your back on one!

It's true. On our golfcourse we had to make another way from one green to another tee because they had decided to make a nest. They WILL attack you. They will follow you attacking from the air until they think you're far enough away. They can break your arm with one hit from their beak. On the way to go to another town to shop, in the spring we all have to face down a very aggressive goose who stands there to prevent us from getting past towards the nest. He holds his ground so well, most people just go another way until a couple of weeks later.

I know that building. In all likelihood, I know the goose too. It's an office in Beaverton, Oregon. But, yeah, Canada Geese, so that counts. The pair of geese had a nest in the bushes up against the side of the building. To describe them as overprotective is an understatement.

That is true, we used to have a geese family that will always best near one of the back doors (by the vents), maintenance will put yellow tape :)

We had two geese (mating pair) decide that our property was where they wanted to raise their little ones. It was, while *very* poopy, a really great spring and summer that year. The little farmette across the road is owned by an older couple, (Dave & Linda) and one very beautiful day my husband and I were outside just enjoying the day and all of a sudden we heard Linda screech "GET THE F*@& OUT OF MY KITCHEN!!!" While we have no idea how many got in, at that point there were six Canada geese and they went everywhere all together, so I like to imagine that they were as goofy in there as they were on our front porch. (That would be 'extremely'.) 😊

At my university, there was an entire outdoor patio that was blocked off every spring because a goose family kept coming back there to have their babies. Students got attacked pretty regularly when they ignored (or missed) the signs

It's not hard to drive of an angry goose without hurting the bird. Just hiss loudly and look menacing. If that does not work, grab it by the neck (not hard!) and hiss some more. OBS: do NOT grab it hard or hold on to the bird. You want to show that you can get to it's throat, not hurtmthe bird or get into a fight. Thing with an agressive goose is that you need to establish that you are higher in the pecking order. If you kind of know what you are doing, it will work 99 out of 100. Observe that if you are afraid, you are toast even before you try. Animals in general can sence your fear from a mile away. Oh, and you need to be at least somewhat fit and fast to have a hope in... something.

I actually experienced something like this (in Canada). I was going to see a play at a theatre on opening night and there was a goose who kept trying to get into the building. It kept shouting at the other patrons. I think it was angry because the ushers told him he couldn’t come in without a ticket.

So are Canadians afraid of geese, or are they just too polite to kick one like a futball?

Yes, we are afraid. Very afraid. We also know how much it hurts to be attacked by one. These psychos are not pigeons...they will kick your ass and hiss at you while doing so. They're not called Cobra Chickens for nothing!

My dad's family had children for tax purposes and to "help on the farm". They moved away from the farm.... but my dad had kids to help with the leaves.

My father passed this job off on me as soon as I was old enough to handle it on my own. Diesels from the 80s needed plugging-in even in Chicago.
