Usually in Chinese weddings the wife can't ever see her family again, not even on Chinese year. Unless, she asks permission from her husband and he allows. So at weddings, the mother and daughter cry together. But this does not apply to all China.

This reminds me of my two little girls. They wanted their dresses just like mine because as they said , " We are getting married to Bob too". They got what they wanted with the exception of the veil with flowers. They just got the ring of flowers and loved every minute of the day. They also did not get a ring. LOL He is still a good daddy . Of course they both got a ring for Christmas two months after the Wedding . Did not look like mine and they said Santa gave it to them. Yeah!
