50 Men Before & After Shaving That You Won’t Believe Are The Same Person
Growing out a beard can dramatically change a man's look, but shaving one off can be even more of a shock, revealing the dreaded post-shave baby face. Some say that the right choice of beard styles make men's faces look stronger and more masculine, while others argue that it all comes down to bone structure. We're definitely not evolutionary scientists here at Bored Panda, but we've compiled some photos of guys before and after grabbing the razor, and we'd like to know which one you'd rather ride off into the sunset with.
Beards certainly have their place in this world, and they do a lot more than just aiding in human mating rituals. Bearded men, especially with thick facial hair, can boast about having a healthy balance of bacteria in their stubbles that are actually good in keeping skin healthy, according to a 2014 study published in the Journal of Hospital Infection. Male hospital workers in the US who were in the habit of shaving beards had higher amounts of harmful bacteria present on their faces than their bearded counterparts, possibly due to the damage skin often sustains after a shave. The youthful glow of a smooth look is worth a few nicks, though, and shaving has also been proven to scrape away dead skin cells.
It's hard to say whether having a beard is healthier or not, but it's undeniable that men with beards are either a hit or miss in aesthetics. Check out a whole list of before-and-after shaving comparisons below, and just try to believe that it's the same person in each photo.

Is it just me or is it hard to tell anything about the transformation for most of them? Yes, most look somewhat younger, but the majority has changed hairstyle, too, and many make grimaces in either of the shorts, sometimes in both...

Yeah some of these were actual transformations, where it was hard(-ish) to recognize the man. But I would still say the wording if the title was unnecessary. I clicked on the link because I wanted to see the before/after pictures, not because of the "YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT'S THE SAME PERSON" title. I usually don't find Bored Pandas titles unnecessary or too click-bait-y, but this one isn't good.

Most of the time the beard Was just nasty. If they would groom it, keep it in shape, then the beard would look better. Most men let their beard grow like a wild bush and that's not attractive.

So actually I noticed that there were only 182 cases on this page of men comparing themselves with and without beards. I feel completely mislead by the false advertisement employed, and will from now on take my patronage to the competing page with 184 photos of men with and without beards. It really goes to show that you can't trust anyone these days smh.

I often joke that my man sneezes and his beard pops out. It grows super fast and super thick and I. LOVE. IT. I beam with delight for knowing my man can grow a full, thick, patch-less beard. It is a thing of complete beauty. He shaves it all off often due to his extreme working conditions..., but after 2 weeks it is back in full force!

I think the moral of the story is that if you want a beard, keep it trimmed/neat. Most of these made me wonder what they'd look like with a shorter beard, since they seemed to go right to clean shaven or stubble. Then again, I'm probably biased since all the guys in my family have always worn short beards.

Interesting compilation. Some look better before, some look better after, some look great both before and after. Got to find what works best for you with what you have. A common theme among the large beards is that they were unkept. A protperly kept beard is actually more work than many believe it to be: beard oil, beard balm, beard brush, scalp brush to scrub the facial skin underneath the beard and that doesn't include barbering maintenance and finding a proper beard master barber to help 'guide your way' in the facial hair department.

Men should sport beards or not based on their own preference. That's what freedom is all about. But in response to the question "What do you think?", my answer is that large beards in this modern day and age are highly problematic. For example, sporting a long beard while operating a lathe could easily be fatal.

A lot of the beards shown were overgrown, it doesn't allow for a proper determination as to how they would look with a nicely trimmed beard. I have to admit quite a few of the guys looked better with a beard, in fact I was amazed what was hiding behind the beard. Sometimes it was better to keep it hidden. What it comes down to is, it depends on the guy.

Almost every comment on these pics are very judgmental and sometimes down right insulting. I repeatedly found myself cringing as hoards of middle aged women old enough to be their mums/grandma's sat there giving their opinion in the most Chauvinistic display I think I've ever seen! Maybe we could do a post where all you older ladies who've looked through this post and shoved your opinion down every on of these men's throats could all post a 'make up' pic and then a no make up pic! Then we can sit here and hopefully you'll realize how s****y and disrespectful your judgment sounds when you're the one being insulted and picked apart about every flaw they see. So many of these men look so much better without the face-fur! I do love a clean-shaved man!!! <3 Yes, a few of them look good either way, but none of them here look better with it. Not one.

Men should sport beards or not based on their own preference. That's what freedom is all about. But in response to the question "What do you think?", my answer is that large beards in this modern day and age are highly problematic. For example, sporting a long beard while operating a lathe could easily be fatal.

Some looked better with the beards, some look better without them. It's all about the facial structure and whether the beards complimented that structure or not.

A lot of the beards shown were overgrown, it doesn't allow for a proper determination as to how they would look with a nicely trimmed beard. I have to admit quite a few of the guys looked better with a beard, in fact I was amazed what was hiding behind the beard. Sometimes it was better to keep it hidden. What it comes down to is, it depends on the guy.

If this was an article with women, eg."Better with makeup or withour? Better with short hair or long hair?" And people commented the way they did with these "Big mistake" "Better without" Reactions would be so much different.

Almost every comment on these pics are very judgmental and sometimes down right insulting. I repeatedly found myself cringing as hoards of middle aged women old enough to be their mums/grandma's sat there giving their opinion in the most Chauvinistic display I think I've ever seen! Maybe we could do a post where all you older ladies who've looked through this post and shoved your opinion down every on of these men's throats could all post a 'make up' pic and then a no make up pic! Then we can sit here and hopefully you'll realize how s****y and disrespectful your judgment sounds when you're the one being insulted and picked apart about every flaw they see. Disgusting behaviour.

In general all the guys are farrrr better minus the beards but I'm not a fan of beards. Some look years younger and drop dead gorgeous!!!

Hey Mantel Ode, if you are going to spout Bible stuff at least have the decency to get it right. Leviticus is in the Old Testament, which means it was around for hundreds of years before Jesus. It also says not to cut the hair on the sides of your head. Do you follow that too?
