Balding Guys Try Out Non-Surgical Hair Replacements By Phil Ring, And Their Smiles Say Everything (44 Pics)
"Balding" is a word no man wants to hear. Most societies in the world associate luxurious hair with youth, beauty, and good health. "For centuries, humans have adorned themselves in a variety of ways — tattooing, nail cosmetics, and most universally, hairstyles of all sorts," Robert T. Brodell, MD, professor of internal medicine of the dermatology section told Everyday Health. "For many people, their hair is what makes them feel beautiful.” When you lose your hair — for whatever reason, it can be devastating.
Luckily, there balding guys have options. Phil Ring is one of them. He specializes in hair replacement, and his non-surgical procedures make a huge difference.
“Right away you just get so energized and excited and nervous for them but when they come back and you actually see how much it’s currently changing people. They have new dates they’ve gotten married and some people just have so much more confidence,” Ring told Bored Panda.

This is one of the better hair replacements I've seen, but I've had friends with all types of hair replacements that don't grow. When the side hair grows out, it's very strange looking. When summer lightens the natural hair, it's strange looking. And he'll be hyper jumpy about people touching his hair or being in wind or rain.

As a Chemotherapeutic patient, I really do appreciate trying to hold onto what you have. One thing I discovered was, bald really can be so incredibly beautiful. Trying to hide hair loss is SO much worse than learning to own it..

This is LITERALLY the very same picture. Is the hair photoshopped? He shadows are the same, the marks are in the same spot in both pictures.

Serious question though, would you feel the same way when he takes it off? I really feel like women could get away with wearing extensions, wigs, etc. but the minute a guy does it he'd be frowned upon.

I think the before photo is after the centre area was shaved for applying the toupee. So it looks a bit like they photoshopped in the bald.

Yes, the improvement in their self-esteem is more important than what we think. It's like years ago when Elton John started sporting that goofy toupee, but he was so happy with it, that's what counts.

Wow, this article is just wrong. Not only is it single sided and subjective, thereby very close to pure advertisment. But also does it not at all fall in line with BP's normal stance. "Love yourself as you are", "inner beauty counts", and recently even a series showing women with grey hair and saying that dyeing to please others is not right. Here the message is: bald men look s****y and are miserable, if they buy expensive hair replacements they are much better people again! Oh well, oh welll...

It's tough. I agree with you-- we should embrace the way we are-- but you can't deny most of society will have a visceral reaction to baldness and prefer the picture with hair. We are shallow creatures, and it sucks and I wish I had an answer, but it's the same reason why plastic surgery is more and more prevalent. It's weird. I wish we lived in a place where we we could love ourselves and our differences instead of wanting to conform to whatever.

That video of "watch him do his thing" was amazingly useless. Phase one: Prepare. Phase two: ?? . Phase three: Finished!! --- could still be identical twins, or surgery between shots, or whatever (theoretically)... No "doing his thing" whatsoever.
