People seem to be confusing an arranged marriage with a forced marriage. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with an arranged marriage as long as both parties consent and both are free to leave if it doesn't work out.
The troble with this advertisement is that it indicates she did not, in fact, consent. I know some indians in arranged marriages, and they had a say in who was chosen. As in, she was alright to say no if she didn't feel it was a good match. (And was ok with an arranged marriage.) Other than that, I agree. Arranged marriages CAN be very happy things, they're not based on romantic love, but on how one wants to build a life together. So often they can be more stable than spontaneous love connections.
