Kids aren't toys, but this lot seems to be doing it's darndest to look like their toys. It's not like these babies have to try hard, of course, since baby dolls were made to look like them. They look like twins!
Most modern dolls and made of soft vinyl, which makes them cheap and durable. This is a far cry from earlier dolls which included porcelain in their make up. In the 19th century, china and Bisque dolls were popular. Both have porcelain heads, but Bisque isn't glazed, and has a matte finish that gives it the appearance of natural skin. The bodies were made from leather, cloth or even wood.

anyone else find this picture to be INCREDIBLY creepy???? can u imagine the look on the parents faces when they found this doll knowing that their child makes the same pouting face???this is by far the most spot on pic in this article. hahaha this is totally awesome!!!! id have to imagine that these ppl got this doll custom made by someone. no way in hades is this just a random doll u can get from toys r us or something. the resemblence is too spot on.....hahahahaha spooky!!!!! i would run into a 12 alarm fire to save this picture if i needed to so i could show my child this pic later in their life. the pouty face and they slanted eyes are a dead on match. even the cheeksare a match. amazing
