Brutally Honest Instagram Reveals Everyday Parenting Problems
Mommy blogger Ilana Wiles created an Instagram account to unveil the real truth about parenting. Titled "Average Parent Problems", it's full of hilariously funny photos showing what parents go through while raising kids. From finding a slice of pizza inside your purse to listening to tantrums over pretty much anything - you can expect it all from your little kids.
'I hope other parents will relate to the photos, feel like they are in good company, and see the amusement in our daily problems,' Ilana Wiles, told The Huffington Post. 'I am always aiming to make the struggles of parenthood entertaining. We need it!'
Ilana also invites other parents to submit their own photos from daily life with kids on Instagram with the hashtag #averageparentproblems to get featured, so keep that in mind, mommies and daddies!

I don't have children myself but I do sympathise with parents of small children on planes. I've seen how nasty people can get towards them if the baby cries or won't settle. I was on a fight from Hawaii to LA a few years ago and this toddler in the row next to me kept crying and moving around. There was this guy behind them who kept huffing and puffing and complaining about the baby. I gave him my best 'shut the f**k up look' and then proceeded to distract the youngster with my keys and phone. I have to share the world with other people and sometimes that means a crying baby on the plane - people need to get over it!
People need to realise children cry scream throw unprovoked tantrums and not be mad at them for being a kid
Load More Replies...Europe-east Asia relation here, never was bothered by babies and toddlers. I guess I'm just tollerant, they're cute. And I've got some experience with my niece and nephews, so I understand. So I feel not annoyed, I feel compassion for their parents.
It's the kids who kick the back of your seat and the parent does NOTHING that annoys me.
Load More Replies...I cannot tolerate the seat kicking kid looking for attention, nor the constant crying of one. It's not even healthy for the baby to travel at a too young age. It also puts stress on the parents. Not good for anyone really, but what can you do if they really need to travel. Most of my experience of crying babies on planes are flights that lasted 12 hours at least. So, no wonder i feel bothered.
So you would send that kid and parents on a 3month+ boat journey instead of 12 hours flight? You can never know what important thing forced them to travel, noone travels that long with a young kid unless they HAVE to. Maybe someone died, or kid needs a special surgery, or other important things. Also the parents suffer alot more because of the stress and shame they have to endure during said flight. Next long flight, you should think about investing in a pair of earplugs, they're not that expensive. Or headphones to watch your movie/listen to music. Problem easily solved, better than hating a kid for no reason, or his parents who already have it rough most likely.
Load More Replies...Tokyo to Seattle flight, with a 6 mo. old who ended up being diagnosed with a raging ear infection the next day... I still have nightmares.
Sure you will Quant... when you need to get somewhere and the airline won't let you put your kid in your checked luggage. That will be the day you realize the details of your life cannot and should not be based on the opinions of strangers.
With voices far greater than Tarzan, and its non-stop! It really does bother, and i need my noise-cancelling headphones ASAP!
Well I hate the parents more than the baby crying, why would you even think of going on a plane with a baby? You're not doing the baby a favor by taking the plane and only hurt the baby's ears for hours straight. Is it really worth going on a vacation for yourselves while your baby has to go through that torture? It doesn't matter much for a baby that age whether it plays outside in your backyard or somewhere else, as long as it's fun. I'd leave planes for when they're at least about 3 years old, they'd probably even remember the trip around that age and know a bit more about what's going on around them. Before that it's better in my opinion to go on vacation within car distance...
People don't only travel for holidays. Just think about international marriages and families, and the various possible scenarios of why they had to bring that baby on a plane. Maybe it's because of the visa, maybe something else.
Load More Replies...I award you the title of Douche of the day. no one wants to hear your guttural reverberations either munchwad.
Load More Replies...Just happened to me at the doctors office the other day. And my son just laughed and laughed. Jerk face.
My little brother used to carry around my moms bras....He even slept with them and tried to bring them to school.
I look soooo charming with this sticks. Even the flower is checking me out.
This is the reason we only have washable markers and crayons... best invention ever.
Aw, poor kid. She wsnted to handle it herself. I can relate... I recently lost my adult dignity by grabbing trash out of the bushes in a state park - and realized afterword I had just put a million burrs in my hair and clothes. Oiled my hair and cried as I sat in the tub and carefully removeed 500000+ burrsfrom it. Ruined my fav tee. I'm sure i could have handled this better, but hey, sometimes you just make an impulsively wrong decision. She found out early. Good for her!
Sigh... "Mom, we've talked about this. I'm afraid I'm going to have to let you go."
After all that work of getting the kid dresses and they say I need to go the bathroom.
"WHAT?!? Mom you lied!!! This is all lies!!!! I can never trust you again!!" "I WAS BETRAAAAAYED!!!!!!"
Oh man...I dont think I want to have kids like EVER after seeing all this!
Noo, this is not nightmare, it's totally fun and challenging and disturbing and exhausting, don't be afraid , have many kids as you like ...
Taking care of little kids can be exhausting but also fun and worthwhile! I often babysit my little nephew.
This made me think toddlers and babies are like cats.. Then again cats are infinite times better.
