Australian Firefighters Pose With Animals For 2020 Charity Calendar, And The Photos Are So Hot They May Start Fires
The perfect mix of manliness, hotness, and kind-hearted softness. Sizzling-hot bad boys with hearts of gold. Animal lovers with spines and abs of steel. There are many ways that I could describe Australian firefighters. But the fact of the matter is simple: they’re everyday heroes who save lives, don’t take off their superhero capes when the fire is out, and stand as an example of how to live your life.
This year, once again, the firefighters of Australia are inspiring us to aim for new heights with their 6 new calendars for 2020. Five of these calendars feature all sorts of animals: from cute kittens and puppies with boopable noses to horses, farm animals, and wildlife. Did I mention that the animal-friendly firefighters are showing off their bulging muscles and sculpted bodies? Oh, and they’re doing it all for charity. Talk about all-in-one.

However, the 2020 calendar is different in one way: it also features some firefighters from France, as well as Germany. Next year, the joy will be global, as the first-ever International Firefighters Calendar will be launched, so mark that fact down on your 2020 calendar.

Charity is the name of the game when it comes to the Australian Firefighters Calendar. This year, the flame-destroyers decided to support small, local Australian charities that focus on helping native, rescue and therapy animals.

Among these charities are Healing Hooves (that helps children suffering from Autism and Asperger’s syndrome), Currumbin Wildlife Hospital (that cares for injured Australian animals), as well as BackTrack (which uses cattle dogs to help disaffected youth get their lives back on track).

He's an alpine dingo - his name is Marrok. He lives at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast - so he's not exactly a dog. Dingoes aren't really ever completely tameable - they'll accept pets for food, but don't really enjoy the attention.

don't get me wrong, i Don't care about hot guy on calendar, but i Wonder why this is ok but hot girls on car is not? what's the difference? i remember a place i work we have a girl who have that kind of calendar in her office (we even have a gay guy who has that kind of calender in his office) but when i try to put a calender of this kind with girl it was a no-no?

You are right, Kjorn, but so is Rissie. The difference lies in the wholesomeness of these photos and that women "will think no less of them whatsoever". These firefighters are gorgeous men, but they are not made to pose in sexually explicit ways. Even in advertisements for make-up for women I often see that pseudo-bedroom expression, void of any and all personality, that seems to say "do I look acceptably attractive/sexually inviting now ?", and it annoys me and I simply take for granted that only hetero men were involved with choosing what photos to use. It also bothers me that so often here on BP, so many women find it OK to comment freely on men's appearance any way they want, when they probably would have reacted negatively on the same kind of behaviour had the genders been reversed. ALL PEOPLE DESERVE RESPECT. I am going to buy the calendar with dogs, and I am toying with the idea of trying to get something like this done where I live, I am sure it would be a tremendous success.

So you don't think men should be able to walk around in public without a shirt? As it happens, I agree with you. If I have to wear a shirt, you should have to wear a shirt too. As for this particular calendar - I'm sure you've seen the "sexy woman in lingerie posing on classic cars" calendar. Sex sells. Firemen are sexy. Models in lingerie are sexy.

I'd be really surprised if any of them are actual firefighters, I'm married to one and facial hair is a huge no-no, the fresh air mask has to be able to adhere to their face, in order to work properly and most of these models have facial hair.

They are all actual firefighters from Urban areas to Armed forces and Rural to Aviation etc. We have different rules for different areas and states regarding facial hair and also most of the firefighters in the calendar has stubble or week long growth etc which isn't usually an issue.

Meh - if being a feminist means I don't see that there should be a difference between the way society treats a man and the way society treats a woman, then yeah, I guess I'm a feminist. Just one of those crazy people who thinks all people should be treated the same. Woo! Let's go nuts! 🙄 Realistically though, boobs aren't that big of a deal unless you're sexualizing them. If you've seen one set of boobs, there's not much excitement to be had from the next set - they're all the same general concept: globes tipped with nipples. Outside of the (insanely) puritanical US, boobs are not that big of a deal.

I've got to say, I really wasn't interested in looking at the guys. I don't get the appeal of guys who work out so much they look like Ken dolls and then on top of that, they wax themselves. It's just weird to me. Anyway, I think the calendar would have been fine with just the animals! LOL.

These fire fighters re the best looking bunch of men I have ever seen, bless them. However, they are wholesome and not sexual so it is ok.. Women don't like the female photos but they aare usually very sexy photos anyway..

I can tell you if we had firefighters like that here in Bloomsburg PA and surrounding areas folks would be setting things on fire just to see these guys. Our firefighters GOD keep them safe may not look like these guys, we are all kind chubby and all but we all have good hearts.... So where can we buy one or a dozen of these calendars and do the animal shelters get any donations....

They are all real firefighters, they get a group of them every year to do the calendar to raise money for charity. So far they have raised over $3 million towards various charities.

You know the thing I find the most interesting about this post... is... okay - I'm generalizing. I realize this. HOWEVER!!! I've seen comments made by males to "hot girl" calendars and they are well, all about the females and what they'd like to do to them... And I find it very interesting that most of THESE comments are all like "forget the guy, that is a cute puppy!!!"

How to make a guy genuinely really smile :D Put a cute animalsie with him and make him care for it for 5 minutes :D What I loved the most was that those men smiles weren't fake, like for other posed sessions. Good looking lads and awesome companions. I always can't wait for the next year edition :D

It's not sexist. It's supposed to be sexy. Sexist would be if it was demeaning to one sex and this isn't. It's quite the opposite. Glorifying is not the same as objectifying.

They're not bodybuilding, they're muscular due to their training. and if they're confident in themselves, let them be. Vanity would be if they let it go over their head, and you could not possible know if they did that unless you talked to them

You're making false comparisons to avoid the fact that these calendars are EXACTLY the same as the tool ones with chicks. The men aren't shirtless with muscles and abs because it makes them better able to lift the animals. These are sexy poses to women. For men we like different poses but to suggest that only the female poses are supposed to be sexy is to look at it with blinders on. You're looking at it from only one side and assuming it's the correct one.
