Book-Lover Turns Her Massive Library Into Art, And Her 140k Instagram Followers Approve
Some people like to read art books, others enjoy making art from books.
'Bookstagrammer' Elizabeth Sagan has been sharing her love for books with her 90k followers for several years, and never ceases to amaze everyone with her creative scenarios. It all began with sharing her favorite reads, then interactive shots with a bookcase. As she became more and more involved with the idea, photos got steadily more complex and creative. Today she creates intricate and inspiring artwork from her massive collection of books.
If this art form seems familiar, it's because Elizabeth brainstorms and creates literary scenes with her good friend James Trevino, whom we featured in Bored Panda earlier this year.
From a mermaid to a warrior fighting a dragon, scroll down the page and check out her cool Bookstagram gallery!

Am I the only one who tries to spot books they know or have read xD
Harrumph, let me clear my throat to declare my suspicion that the only love of books this person possesses is equal to their capacity as things to add to her followers on Instagram. Being so busy having photos taken of herself there can hardly be any time left over to actually ever read any books. In my world, having a vast library is not the same as having bought a lot of books to use as props.
This would be mire accuratley described as a part 2 to that other post
Not long ago there was a post about a guy who was doing exactly the same thing...
I love the photos and creativity, but every photo I wince at how much time it will take to put them back. I want to go to her house and just read all the books she owns!
This has actually been done by a few people that have been featured on BP.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in several of the pictures where you can see titles, the content of the book mirrors the intent of the photo. Not the title, the story. So, yeah, I think she does read the books, or has. There are those of us out there who naturally read very fast with total retention. I say this as not only a bibliophalic life form with a tropism for bookstores, but also as someone who doesn't need speed reading, but needs speed bookshelf building. I can read a 300 page book in an evening if I'm really into the story, so why can't she?
I tried this and my photo's looked really boring... Bloody Kindles.
Sadly, all the comments about how she couldn't have possibly read these books are exactly what I would expect from the tl:dr crowd. Just because *you* couldn't or wouldn't read this many books or wouldn't be able to do this sort of photo shoot, OBVIOUSLY no one else in the world would be able to. There are people out there who still read hard copies, and enjoy reading immensely. Just because you personally aren't like that doesn't mean no one else in the world is.
I think her art and love of books is great!!! I enjoyed checking each one out. You’re very talented! Never stop creating
Very clever and so beautiful! What fun it must have been creating the poses and positioning of the books for these pictures! I love when people are so talented to create extraordinary from the ordinary!
WTH. There was a dude who did this exact thing a few years ago. Some of the ideas are even the same? this is just sad.
emmm, wasn't there a guy who did exactly the same thing first- so that is nice but not creative at all
Some people are implying that she's only using the books as props and for attracting followers. But books stimulate creativity and imagination and she is proving that point so well!
