This isn’t how you want the public to react to your newest product. Apple has just unveiled their newest iPhone model, the iPhone 12, and people are already poking fun at the fact that the smartphone looks an awful lot like the iPhone 5.

According to Saul Ponce, their first reaction to the iPhone 12 was that it was the "material personification of a downward movement in the business cycle." The Twitter user said they couldn't believe their eyes and they felt like they were staring at the iPhone 5.
"Honestly, a bit disappointed," Saul Ponce said about Apple's big reveal. "Their presentation is always immaculate, but the products fall short of interesting. Every new iPhone just seems redundant and unnecessary. The compartmentalization of accessories from the phone are definitely the final straw. It’s a clear intrusion and disregard of how loyal the Apple fan base is and they keep pushing boundaries because they can."

What caught people’s attention was that the iPhone 12 was a spruced-up version of the iPhone 5: a similar body with a cooler camera.
There are a total of 4 new iPhones coming out this year: the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be available from October 23; while the iPhone Pro Max and the iPhone 12 Mini will be available from November 13. What’s more, Apple CEO Tim Cook also unveiled the HomePod Mini.
That’s a lot of different iPhones when you think about it. But they all have some things in common. Each iPhone 12 will have 5G connectivity, an A14 bionic chip, and will have ‘Ceramic Shield’ technology that (according to Apple) will make them the “toughest” and “brightest” iPhones yet.

The iPhone 12 Mini will cost from 699 dollars onwards while the regular iPhone 12 will start at 799 dollars. Meanwhile, the cost of the iPhone 12 Pro will start from 999 dollars while the iPhone 12 Pro Max will cost 1,099 dollars onwards. Of course, the costs depend on how much storage space you’re going for and can go up to far, far more. But that’s par for the course for Apple.

My boyfriend switched from apple to Samsung a few years ago and he noticed that Istore apps are were way more expensive than android apps and that he'd lost a fair chunk of investment in iphone apps. It could be a reason people stay with apple.

i can understand no home button, but no charger and no headphones is just soo annoying and ridiculous. i prefer the slightly older iphones tbh. they stopped being good at the iphone x

The reason apple is doing this is because they want people to buy their chargers, America and the whole of Europe made it so that you can't keep on changing the Iphone charging jack. They did this because so many chargers were being thrown into the garbage and they couldn't recycle it. Apple is trying to squeeze as much money from their sales as possible. Also I love apple it's interface is great and just feels smooth, but what they're doing might just make me switch over to something like Android.

So, basically if I want to upgrade my Metro cheap semi-smart (ie - retarded) phone to a smart phone I should buy something like I-Pad 5. Or just use my laptop for non-phone stuff. A few years back I watched in horror as a young woman stepped off a curb while texting and nearly got side-swiped by a city bus. Stupid is as stupid does.

They really should increase the interval between releases.The enviroment cant afford to churn out new products with marginal improvements each year.

This wireless charger is what's wrong with design. New products should be about making life easier, improving quality. But Apple are so caught up in the "aesthetic" of what futurism looks like; they just say "Wireless charger! Cool, advanced tech, right? Right?!" Basically, if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

From what I've read, a main theory on why apple could fail is that the treat and price their products like luxury items, similar to a Rolex or Rolls-Royce. The main issue with that is that you can have one Rolex or one Gucci purse for your whole life. You can't have one iPhone for your whole life. Consumers should eventually realize this and go to brands that offer similar products for far cheaper.
