Some animals live in packs, some wander alone but all of them need a little love. So much so, that sometimes they decide to visit humans to say 'hi'. Bored Panda has collected pictures of some of the most unexpected animal visits that humans had which prove friendships are universal and not bound by the number of legs.
From a raccoon chilling on a porch, to an owl at a Super Bowl party - these animals seek human companionship just as much as we seek theirs. It's nice to know that despite our industrial attempts to screw up nature some creatures still believe that deep down we're all of the same kind. Yep, my mom once got kicked out of assisted living cause she wouldn't quit feeding the cats. At 82 cats she got the boot. I think mom was 82 also.

Perfect time to TNR the neighborhood kitties. Trap them in humane traps. Have them neutered. Local animal welfare organizations can help you with this. Release them back into the neighborhood. Your cat colony will now exhibit much less of the annoying behaviors and there will be a marked decrease in the population of starving kittens, road-killed cats etc. Here is an example of an appropriate animal welfare organization. This atually happened near me this past week! The woman was actually making brownies and the bear must have smelled them and literally tried to break into her house! The lady was elderly, and I'm sure it scared her, so she ran out her front door to get help from her neighbor, who was the one who took this picture. Emmi is right, environmenal conservation personnel tag the bears to help track them and to easily distinguish them from one nother for research purposes.

Yep! We also have a skunk we call Pepe LePeau that visits our black and white cat every night. We also have a white skunk (beautiful) and a nutria (not so beautiful). Also a coyote and a fox. Arkansas is still an animal wonderland.

Quokkas are native to an island off the coast of Western Australia called Rottnest Island... its was named by Dutch explorer Willem de Vlamingh who thought they were giant rats and originally named the island Rotte nest (meaning rats nest) but it was changed later... Its a beautiful island - you should google it!!! There is a small colony on the mainland just south of Perth but Rottnest Island is the best place to see and interact with these friendly little buddies... I use to live out in the woods. I miss the deer so much. We had one mama who came back every year to chill in our yard while she was pregnant. I came out one day and she was skinny and I asked her "where is your baby" she stepped forward and a pair of babies were staring back at me! That was the first time she had 2. We gave the new mama lots of veggies and apples

I should mention that it's illegal to feed deer a lot of places because it makes them not fear hunters. I was living on an island in the Puget sound and the whole island is a wildlife preserve so we were allowed to feed them.

The does are so smart they leave the fawns in an area where they blend in. Check out the mulch on the ground. Very much like the colour of the fawn and his/her spots.

No, actually, I'm pretty sure it's a Canadian lynx cub. The tail is shorter than a bobcat's, the ear tufts are longer, and it doesn't have such a visible coat pattern.

They will - mother deer leave their fawns while they go find food, and only come back a few times a day to feed their little one. The fawn is "programmed" to hide and sleep/relax, so they aren't in distress as long as they are in a safe spot :)

Peacocks are considered to be guardians in some cultures. Throughout my father's prolonged illness, peacocks came to the backyard windows to watch over him. The day he passed, on of them just settled in right by window and didn't leave. After that their visits became less frequent. Every once in awhile, some come back, but they never stay for long.

This happened to me one time. It was a really hot summer night and I left my bedroom window open. The next morning I woke him to find myself starting at a white cat that was sound asleep on my stomach! The apartment had a no pets rule so I don't know where he came from. He left. A couple of days later I was in the kitchen making a sandwich when he suddenly jumped up on the counter scaring me half to death. He used to come and go all the time. I moved away but I never forgot the 'Mysterious Mr. Milk'.

Well, the beast was probably living in this area before you moved there. Also with the humans who want a place by the lagoons and sea fronts, they have no longer any choice, but to share what is left of wilds with you. 1) Its still statistically highly unlikely to encounter a bat with rabies. 2) that bat is too small to have teeth so it cant bite you. 3) you cannot get rabies just by touching something, even if it has rabies so washing your hands will not do a thing as far as that is concerned

Yeah, but 90% of human rabies cases in the U.S is caused by bats. Rabies is 99.999% fatal if not caught in time so best not to handle.

As long as he doesn't get up on his front paws and raise his rear end in the air you should be fine. I fed a family of skunks for a year with no problems. Mom even had her babies in my back yard. They are actually very sweet and affectionate. They only spray if threatened.
