What Is This And Where Do I Find The Plans?
My auntie and uncle in Finland had a big one of there 40 + years ago, I think it had 6 seats and the centre had a built in lazy Susan about the size of this table so you could spin and easily access all of the food.
I bet your auntie and uncle hosted the best get togethers! I want one of these, with the lazy Susan to share all the foods!
Load More Replies...Yes they do. Depending on the kind of wood this is made from the leg braces that are out at a diagonal angle when the stools are out, they would support a person, as well as the wider "legs"

Imagine The Look On My Face When My Boss Said “You’ll Be Lead Carpenter On This Stair Job” When I Had Never Made A Single Tread Before. Lots Of Work By Lots Of People, I Can’t Take All The Credit, But Damn If I Didn’t Pour My Blood And Sweat Into This Staircase
This is what you can achieve when the engineer actually puts ALL the dimensions on the print.
Your boss is a very smart boss who got the best out of you by giving you his trust .
If you’re like me, you might be itching to get into woodworking after staring at these cool projects (I especially loved the owl art piece, but what about you?). I gave it a go when I was little, but back then, I didn’t have the patience and willingness to fail to see my projects to the end.
While I personally know the most simple principles of working with wood (go with the grain, take your time, wear gloves, be careful with the electric saw, don’t expect to finish everything in a single day), they don’t even scratch the varnished surface. Like all skills, carpentry takes time and diligence to master. And the best way to learn is to get stuck in, instead of reading tips on the net.

Still Weaving As The Seasons Change.. So Close To Wrapping This On Up!
If I walk through this, it will grab me and drag me down to the nether world. Well, that's what my imagination tells me anyway.
Nether world?? "Did I say netherworld? Never mind. I'm the B to the double-e t-l-e to the j-u-i-c-e! Ya!" Sorry

Super work! I owned a home that had much of the beautiful wood painted over. I restored it all!!! It's an incredible amount of labor. That grain looks fantastic! It's almost as if the door can " breathe" again.
This is awesome! Old wood is just amazing and to restore it so perfectly...
I've taken great joy in refinishing old furniture for nearly 55 years. My grandmother taught me how, among other things. I hope you love it too. That skill will serve you well when you have your own home. Just be sure to have good ventilation!!!
If you want to give woodworking a go, start off with a very simple, tiny project and see how you feel about it. After all, it’s best to give a new activity a go and check if you actually enjoy it before buying all of those expensive power tools. Instead, get some cheap and simple tools and some sandpaper to start things off.
Better yet, check your garage to see if there are any leftover tools from previous generations (just remember to oil them before using them so you don’t hurt yourself)) or even pop over to your DIY expert neighbor’s home to borrow theirs for a spell. You never know, they might even give you some great advice or even agree to help you out with the fundamentals.

Such a warm and intelligent design. Bunk beds usually look clautrophobic, but this one is great!
The ‘Woodworking’ subreddit will be celebrating its 13th birthday on August 27, so if you enjoyed these photos or you’re a woodworking enthusiast yourself, consider joining the subreddit or at least popping in and saying a quick ‘hello there.’
Earlier, my colleague Liucija had a chat with one of r/woodworking’s main moderators, Joseph aka Joelav. He told Bored Panda that the online group was created as a “place for woodworking redditors to get together and exchange ideas, techniques, advice, and projects.”

When You Tell Your Retired Cabinet Building Father In-Law That The Guys From Home Depot Said No To What I Wanted Designed For My Kitchen. He Said “Meet Me In My Shop”
Great attention to placement relation of fridge stove and sink. So many even designer kitchens don't take that into account these days.
I'm interested! whats the significance of the placement?
Load More Replies...they said no b/c that island is stupid big. There is nothing about the rest of it that looks out of the ordinary so I am thinking it was that overly huge thing.
If they didn't have the island, there would be nowhere to put a dishwasher. If the sink were centered on either of the windows there would be no room on either side of it to put a standard dishwasher. From the fridge going to the left, there are (3) 18" cabinets, a 36" corner a 36" base, and then the stove. A 36" sink base is pretty common, and 18" dishwashers do exist, but they are TINY. Sink/DW in the island fixes that problem very well, and lets them have all those drawers.

Back in February, the community had 2.7 million members and has gained an additional 300k in the months since then. It really has “grown from humble roots” and is now visited roughly a quarter of a million times each and every day. That’s the sort of popularity that you can’t get without quality content, so it goes to show that the subreddit is built on solid foundations.

Load More Replies...That's pretty cool... Now all you need is one of them chair masters and it's done!... I've a question?... If a person owns a beach house would they be able to build these stairs if they didn't own Part of the beach.. or if the beach home is being rented out.. Or does it even matter? Just kind of curious how that would work #1 if homeowner did NOT own part of the beach.. #2 homeowner owns beach front but has not paid it off.. #3 beach house is being rented out... Like I said I'm just curious and it'd be kind of cool to know (you know... Just in case I decide to buy a beach home some day.. lol)....
that's a truly magnificent staircase, imo, a masterpiece so casually referred to as "some stairs" lol

I Bought Myself A Tablesaw And To Test It, I Built This Little Birdhouse. Many Lessons Learned With This Fun Little Project

My sister was born in Switzerland - she wood love this (ohhh see what I did there)
The core rule that the entire r/woodworking community is built around is originality of content: people can only share the things and projects that they made themselves, they can’t just post random cool things they found while searching the net or saw IRL. “This keeps our content original and organic,” Joseph told Bored Panda earlier.

I Know Epoxy Tables Can Sometimes Get A Bad Rap, But I'm Really Proud Of How This Black Walnut & Black Epoxy Coffee Table I Made Turned Out
It's a matter of craftmanship and artistry. Some are put together with little to no thought for the wood, so the don't look that great, and not very well made, so they fall apart. This is one of the best I've seen in photos. The color of the epoxy really complements the black walnut. Thought went into this, it looks like a satellite photo
Load More Replies...We give a lot of thought to each piece we build. We work very closely we each client throughout each step of the project. All of our wood come directly from 100% certified sustainable forest in South America and kiln dried. Our domestic lumber comes from reclaimed feld trees and are all kiln dried. We have been using epoxies for over 40 years and belive me there is a lot that can go wrong here. We make everything from cutting boards to huge conference room tables. There is a ton of steps and thought that goes into each piece to make it reflect out clients personally and environment. Www.Hardinghamstudios.com
I love the black. The vivid metallic blues and so forth are not to my taste but this is beautiful.
My Son And I Have Recently Started To Make Robots Together
My most important precious thing I own is the first pease my daughter made for me in second grade. Its a huge heart made out of wood with a leather strap attached and she told me to wear it every day for the rest of my life becausr it was a necklace and I was lucky to convince her that it would be more special if it would hang over our head when we slept so we would always feel safe and dream happy thaughts every night and she agreed That it sounded very special and it still hangs over my bed post and she's turning 18 this summer and it will always be there🥰🥰🥰 it so big that its almost the sice of a body armour if you would use it like a necklace which it still is but just enormous 🥰

Surprised My Mom With New Pantry Cabinets While She Was Out Of Town
Wow my only question is does the fridge door open wide enough to get the trays and storage boxes out for cleaning. I ask because mine doesn't and I have to take the shelving down every time I want to sort the fridge out.
I can just make out that the door opens to the left, so it probably does. My experience with little refrigerators is that the door pockets tend to be shallow.

So much amazing craftsmanship and skill. I like the idea of working with wood, tried it and it is definitely not as easy as some make it seem.
My gramps was a master carpenter (literally "master carpenter" level, not just a compliment from me). He did the work on the house I grew up in. the stairs had nothing but the joints and geometry to hold them up, and the woodwork on th emantel, stair banister, cupboards, was exquisite. Still miss him, still miss the work he did. He was 80 and carving pineapples out of hunks of wood while watching baseball, b/c he was just that... masterful!
