Bats. They get a bad rap, don’t they? They’ll fly in my hair! They’ll suck my blood! They have rabies! While there may be the slightest grain of truth in the blood-feeding and rabies myths (only 3 species of bat feed on blood, while less than 1% of bats carry the rabies virus), these adorable animals are certainly not interested in flying near your hair and would much rather eat a piece of yummy fruit or some insects.
Not only the cute bats are none of the things listed above - they're actually vital to many ecosystems. Eating various kinds of vermin and pest insects bats can lessen the use of pesticides and the fruit bats help in pollinating many plants. And with more than 1,200 types of bats, all of them contribute in different ways.
To further disprove the unfair reputation our poor bat buddies have been saddled with, we here at Bored Panda have compiled a list of bat photos where these animals are just being their true selves. We think you’ll agree that they are completely adorable! Scroll down to check out the fluffy cute bats below; they are sure to change your perceptions about these night-flyers forever. We sure would love to get a pet bat for ourselves or at least scratch a baby bats belly!

Baby Bat In A Blanket
I love these little guys! Cute as a button. They do what they are supposed to do. Part of the greater picture of life
Just bein real for a sec. Typically bats kept as pets have a significantly shorter life span than ones in the wild. Usually due to their nocturnal nature and diet.

It's small indeed but I doubt it's fragile for such a small creature. I mean, look how muscular this small bat appears!
Load More Replies...Very few bats actually carry rabies, but handling wild bats bare handed is how to expose yourself!
The young of bats. What are they called? https://www.jopestkil.com/
Puppy Eyes
Looks a little like a puppy. It's probably one of the larger species of fruit bats.

These are so incredibly cute...and obviously, sucking does not only soothe human babies...
Yep! They give orphaned babies pacifiers to comfort them!! They usually nurse off the mama battie.

I recognize this lovely little batty, he is a Rainforest Fluffball (not a scientific name), and he and his charming little white-furred, banana-yellow ears buddies have been haunting my homepage with their adorableness for many years.
Rainforest Fluffball sounds pretty legit for the little batty

This one ever so slightly resembles a baby werewolf a la the Underworld franchise, but oddly, he's still an adorable little burrito. :)

Poor little baby! He's all dehydrated! I'll bet he was fine within hours, after someone took his photo and rescued him!
I know this doesn´t fit, but it kinda looks like hes jerking off with a foot:D
Sorry bat lovers but I just don't see the cute. I wanna love them but ............no!
No reason to downvote this! You have it a shot, to see the cuteness. Bats just don't do it for you, and it's all good. Some people love spiders, and I. Do. Not. That's all good, too. We're all different and as long as we respect each other, it's all good. :)

Hi There!
Tiny Baby Bat
I think bats are neither scary nor ugly...they are absolutely adorable in baby form, and even the adults are handsome.
Bats are precious! We love to walk our neighborhood at dusk and watch them fly!
I've had bats swoop past when I take the dog out the last walk of the night. My son did NOT find this as amusing as I did...I was calm and said "oh, a bat" and he began flailing about to keep it out of his hair. I mean, really?
Load More Replies...Omg, such boopable little noses! You get a boop, you get a boop, you get a boop....boops for all the little noses!!
Bats have never frightened me. I've always thought they are beautiful and awesome. I'd love to have one as a pet but I don't for the same reason I don't keep birds - they are supposed to have a huge space to fly that I can't provide.
The book Stellaluna, forever changed the way I view bats. I love them!
I have three bathouses in my yard. Love watching them come out at dusk.
How long did it take after you put your bathouses up to have bats move in? We've had one up for two years and so far nothing. I wonder if I should move it.
Load More Replies...In the UK they eat moths and other small insects. Bats are an indicator of environmental stability. They swoop around near your head to sweep up biting insects- whats not to like about them?
Only these cutiesb don't live in the UK (if only in zoos)
