This is sorta true... The only true guard dog is the Doberman. Rottweilers are drovers, meaning they drove herds of mainly cattle. They also were a livestock guard breed, so guarding animals not humans. Bulldogs were bred to bait bulls for bullfighting.

Rottweilers are extremely intelligent. They also have strong desire to please their human. This combination makes for a very versatile dog. They can perform many different working dog tasks.

Movies have been a popular form of entertainment for a long time already, captivating audiences with their plot, personages, and visual effects. While the experience of watching a movie can be enjoyable, many viewers find themselves still thinking about the film long after the credits have rolled. In fact, some people may become so engaged in a movie that they feel the need to seek out more information and details online, from fan theories to behind-the-scenes trivia. Michael W. Boyce thinks that there are several factors at play with this. “First, there's the increased accessibility to movies through streaming platforms. Since the pandemic, more studios are releasing new titles to theatres and streaming at the same time. They don't have to wait six months for the title to be released on home video. It's right there. Also, people can just watch more when they don't have to leave their homes and drive to their local theatre. People in smaller markets don't have to wait for smaller movies to make their way to a theatre in their area.

Second, with the explosion of social media and memes, ‘word of mouth’ travels so much faster. People are more aware of the new, hot movies as they're getting real-time reactions; they're seeing and sharing memes. And it has become so much easier to access information about the movies and the stars who make them. If you liked Denis Villeneuve's Dune (2021), for example, in mere minutes, you can download Frank Herbert's novel to your e-reader, access David Lynch's 1984 version, read rumors about the sequel, follow the stars' social media accounts, and connect with thousands of other fans who liked it as much as you did.”

What's horrifying is that SLAVERY was so much worse than depicted in DJANGO UNCHAINED. I give Tarentino props for at least showing equal parts triumph and pathos. I could not watch pure drama. It's too intense. It hurts down to my bones to watch something else where the "overcoming" is much more subtle. I've both slaveowner and slave heritage, so maybe it's just DNA memory.

My question is why are they using a Black to portray a Chinese bear?/s

With the advent of new technologies, nowadays people can access a vast range of films from around the world without having to put in much effort. In light of this, it's worth considering whether the rise of digital media has transformed the ways that audiences interact with and interpret movies. According to Michael W. Boyce, digital and online media have changed so much about how we consume movies and television. “When I was a kid, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, if you wanted to watch a movie after it was done in the theatres, you had to wait for it to come out on VHS. You'd watch it on a mostly square television (4:3) and at a pretty awful resolution. For most of us, the sound was whatever came out of your TV's speakers."

"Nowadays, most people can replicate theatre-quality look and sound at home. And with streaming, you're not relying on your local video store to stock tapes. With a few accounts, you can access a huge number of titles. People don't have to scour video stores to find hard-to-find titles. If you like a particular actor or director or type of movie, you can find most other connected movies without much effort. This increased accessibility to titles and the superior technology means fans of movies can rewatch their favorite titles as much as they want. They can zoom in, go frame-by-frame to scan the background for visual treats and Easter eggs.”

But Kevin Bacon's so good in it. One of my favorite movies of all time. I don't care if it's (considered) mawkish; it isn't. And no one's opinion counts more on this or anything I like. Flashdance is another great one. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Another fabulous movie.

James Gunn did good with that character. It's interesting how at first glance, the characters -- and their names -- seemed ridiculous. Until you got to know them and their backstories. I fell in love with Sylvester Stallone's character, the shark. I made fun of the Rat Girl, until I heard her origin and saw her story arc. This is what good film making is about. Allowing us the suspension of disbelief.

Its actually based on a real story. He fought a man named Gene LeBell. He was a stuntman on the set of green hornet who actually was friends and even taught lee grappling. The man was know as one of the best grappling based fighters and trained some big names including Chuck Norris and Ronda Rousey.

Agreed, did make a funny scene tho. He was the ultimate fighter so the idea he would lose that easily to a random stunt guy is what made the scene. And it’s a fake alternate reality so anything can happen.

I heard a comedian explain that Harry Potter was just another version of Star Wars with crappy Light Sabers. He said "An orphan boy goes to live with his Aunt and Uncle. He's brought to them by a bearded man (Obi Wan/Haggrid). The bearded man shows back up later and takes him away to learn magic. He learns more magic from a wiser magician that appears to be stoned all the time (Yoda/Dumbledore.) He has feeling for a close female companion that turns into a sister relationship later on (Hermoine/Leia)......who actually ends up falling for his best friend (Ron/Han Solo)" I was like OMG..He's right!!

I much preferred Richard Harris as Dumbledore-he had more of a magical, mystical air about him. Michael Gambon was good, but he was grumpy, short tempered and demanding. I know in the books that Snape accuses him of being cruel and heartless, and looking after Harry only because he had to protect him until it was time to sacrifice him, so maybe Gambon's character fitted best with that aspect of Dumbledore's ambitions, but I liked the more kindly wizard that Harris played.

Ian McKellen would have been a great Dumbledore! I read he felt the role was too similar to Gandalf, though, and so he wasn't interested. This might be a minority opinion but I liked Sir Michael Gambon over Richard Harris as Dumbledore.

I wish more films would do it. A lot of the ones filmed in the actual dark have such bad lighting that you can't bloody see anything. I understand you want to create a certain aesthetic but seeing what's happening is more important than my immersion.

I filmed my short film “Dee” in apartment at noon when it was supposed to be midnight. I had taped cardboard on the exterior of the windows but had to use painters tape as it wasn’t my place and I didn’t want to take the paint off the window frames. This meant I had to stop filming every ten minutes to rehang the cardboard because it kept falling down.

Which reminds me. In Antichrist Willem Dafoe had a scene where he was fully nude. The director decided to use a body double because he thought Dafoe's "size" was too big to be believable ..or so i heard. No wonder he has the huge smile.

It's gotta be hard to play a human being as despicable and racist as David Duke, I know it would take a toll on me. I would want something rooted in fantasy to cleanse my soul too. If you don't know who David Duke is, he was the highest ranking member of the KKK in the 70's when they were killing a lot of Black people and the FBI had to watch them.

So with 2 hours and 42 min playtime, let's lowball and say an hour of CGI is in the movie. That would then take almost 8 years to render. I know you could run multiple computers but still, it seems unlikely.

I would believe "several hours" per frame on average but 47 hours sounds unlikely.

Some frames really did take a massive amount of time to render :)

Holding up a pizza box seems weird. Surely just making it into a regular cupboard door would be more natural looking.

I'll be honest, this is one of those things that I read and think, "Nah, I bet that's just urban legend or something." You're telling me that that yak pubes were the ONLY thing on the planet could simulate the look of what appears to be a fairly standard beard?

Much as I adore Robin Williams I don't think he'd have been right for Hagrid.

This has happened to a lot of other films. Often the studio insists on changes but lots of times directors have said, “No. This scene is right for the film.” I think it depends on how much experience and respect the director has to stand up for their vision.

Oh no, they stuffed that so bad. Dumbest final scene ever. He pushes her into a hole and stays so they don't keep hunting him but he kills them all by blowing them up anyway. He could have set the timer and escaped anyway I hated the ending it was so frustratingly stupid.

Unless you get a director that really respects the source material then studios are going to screw around with the characters and storyline beyond belief.
