Interesting.... I travelled in a plane more often than im a train.... Just... Happened to be this way. For now. You never know. Unless we wanna consider subway trains of public transportation...

I have traveled by trains quite a bit in Russia. I totally love it. Planes are boring. U only get to see clouds and sky. Trains have that romance about them...

Pinnawala in Sri Lanka is an elephant orphanage that rescues wounded elephants. Although they seem to do an amazing job, it is difficult to argument that this is "free in their own environment". But you can see wild elephants in their environment in Sri Lankan national parks such as Minneriya or Yala, specially as they gather for water in the dry season... but you won't get to watch them "just outside the hotel" :-).

Only male Sri Lankan have their tusks if I understood right, and in fact not all of them also. But as I mention above this is an orphanage, so their tusks might have been removed to avoid poaching (or they were already poached, although I don't think poachers would leave the elephant alive in that case...).

That looks a lot like the Pacific coast seashore from the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove. A beautiful place, mostly designed by the quintessential architect, Julia Morgan. These wooden walkways were installed so visitors could enjoy pleasant wandering without disturbing the native flora.

You know at the end of those good guy movies where the good is getting chased and everybody around him is dying this is where they all ended up lol. I never got a feeling from movies of being lonsome with these scenes of the lonely house in the middle of nowhere it always feels peaceful. To me it felt like they finally had time to relax and think of a good plan and then boom the good guy comes back and saves the day lol

I cant help but imagine a fair tale: an old woman, a grandmother is inviteing her stepchildren's children for every weekend. Some of her stepkids followed her footsteps and adopted, but some of them also wanted to experience being a biologycal mother. So these kids are beautifuly different, still these weekends are always spent in harmony, and new friendships are born and others fades. The house is smelling like Grandma's cacao with a little citrus grass in, and those amazing cookies and like the pine outside. They swim, take trips all day long sitting down every night and listening to the wise lady's magical stories.

I signed up just to tell BP how sick I am with the "it's not your job" kind of articles. For some, actually a lot, reality is not that easy. There really isn't anything wrong with the content itself, because it is a goal for many. But lines like "just drop your job and travel" is just rubbing salt to wound for many.
