If you’ve seen a squirrel in the park begging for treats or browsing through picnic leftovers, you’ll probably agree that they’re one of the cutest things ever. Perhaps the incessantly curious and hyperactive nature of squirrels is exactly what inspired British photographer Max Ellis to start shooting these cool pics of everyone’s favorite woodland rodent.

Meet Otchan. He’s a pig farmer who shares a beautiful relationship with his cuddly pink creatures – all 1,200 of them. Kagawa-based photographer Toshiteru Yamaji spent ten years documenting Otchan’s bond with his animals. The caring and loving farmer serenades his pigs with a guitar, takes them to the beach, cuddles with them, or simply spends time with them – a far cry from the often abusive and inhumane conditions experienced by pigs in U.S. mass-production farms.
Grace Chon, an LA-based animal, lifestyle and celebrity photographer, had the brilliant idea of using her expertise to create an adorable series of images of her 10-month-old son Jasper and Zoey, their 7-tear-old rescue dog. In these cute photos, little Jasper and his sidekick Zoey pose for mom’s photos in matching hats and outfits. The only thing potentially more heartwarming than the photos themselves is the journey that Zoey had to take to be in those photos.
Perhaps the only thing cuter than an adorable household pet is an adorable household pet curled up for a nap with their favorite plushie toy. There’s nothing like an animal cuddling with the toys we loved in our early childhoods to get the cuteness juices flowing. As cute as it is, however, the actual reasons for which animals cuddle up with or play with stuffed animals can vary greatly.
These 30 animals that look like they’re smiling are bound to warm even the stone-cold jaded hearts among us. Not so fast, however – the scientific jury is still out on whether or not animals can/do actually smile. However, scientists are increasingly warming up to the idea that animals may have a more complex range of emotions and that some of them may even have facial expressions similar to ours.
Animals can be beautiful or adorable no matter whether their color, size, species or length of hair. But, as far as furry mammals go, the fuzziest of them definitely have an edge when it comes to cuteness. Some theories hold that, in finding an animal cute, we are actually seeing characteristics that we look for in our own children. What do you think – does that make sense to you?
Pets and people share a very special bond when they grow up together, which is why we’ve compiled a list of pictures of people and their pets growing up and sometimes growing old together. Because of their shorter lifespans, dogs, cats and other domestic animals tend to grow out of their juvenile forms relatively quickly. In a few months, that cute and doofy puppy that’s tripping all over himself will be galloping between your legs enthusiastically, and in a few months more he or she will be approaching their adult size.
Penny the chicken and Roo the two-legged Chihuahua are the latest unlikely animal pals to go viral for their adorable good looks, beautiful friendship and heartwarming survival stories. The two friends met each other through Alicia Williams, who works at Duluth Animal Hospital in the U.S. She saved both animals from almost certain death.
What’s cuter than a sleeping bear cub? Two sleeping bear cubs. Here are 31 photos of animals cuddling up and sleeping together in blissful slumber. These animals may have drastically different sleep times and requirements, but all of them look adorable while doing it. We hope they give you sweet dreams.
We’ve already showed you a collection of beautiful animal friendships from around the world, but there’s one little corner where there’s a whole lot of unexpected animal friendships all in one place. The Rocky Ridge Refuge in Arkansas is home to a huge bunch of animals, all of which seem to get along extraordinarily well. The animal refuge was set up by owner Janice Wolf 20 years ago to help both wildlife and domestic animals in need of medical care or new homes.
It is safe to say that cats are extraordinarily photogenic, but these cats, all caught mid-sneeze, prove that even cats can look silly and lose their composure – just like us. Cats primarily sneeze for the same reasons that we do – to expel irritating mucus or particles. And they look a lot like we do when they sneeze as well, with their ordinarily cute faces ferociously or hilariously screwed up and twisted.
A few months ago we wrote about Beau, his puppy Theo, and the adorable naps they liked to take together. Although the two pals are growing bigger seemingly by the day, it looks like they still enjoy catching some shut-eye together. It all began last Christmas, when two of Shyba’s older children, Jack and Zoe, met Santa Claus in New York and asked him for a puppy.
