This isn't a Photoshopped post – those are these unique animals' natural bright colors! Most animals land somewhere along with the black, brown, or yellow color spectra, but not these creatures that are sporting some truly unique colors! These unusual animals illustrate that nature has a far more colorful and diverse color palette than you might have realized.

If there are any cool animals with unusual markings that you think we missed, add them to our list! The only rule is that their color has to be natural, no matter if it is a colorful bird or a slug. And don't forget to vote for your favorite interesting photos of this bunch!

Fake! There is a purple seasnail (Janthina janthina), but that one doesn't live on land. This one is a garden snail, photoshopped.

You would notice it in a normal UK garden.. You could perhaps grow these instead of flowers and your display would change every day.

I've seen a white cardinal as well. Though it was not an albino cardinal, because it still had it's typical black markings it was just white where it should have been red. It was quite beautiful. I've also seen the rare pink Cardinals which most people don't even know exist, to be honest most people don't realize that there are actually many different kinds of different colored Cardinals other than the typical red cardinal. Though I do believe the red Cardinals to be the most beautiful especially when it's winter and there's snow because the red is so dramatic and stunning against the White background of a snowy day, pink Cardinals are out of this world gorgeous¡!

that's actually bilateral gynandromorphs again, like the bird a few pic before. one side expresses a female phenotype, the other a male one.

Here in New England every now and then a blue, white or other color shows up in a lobster. Have seen this photo before.

Also, they can punch crazy hard and fast, they use that skill to defend themselves and to get the shells off of their prey. They have also been known to punch through glass in aquariums!

I befriended one of these in Canada when I was 11. I named it Strawberry-Vanilla(SV for short), and took care of him for a few days since he couldn't fly. But alas, a few days later, he suddenly fluttered his wings madly and left me forever, in the daytime, getting caught by a bird as he flew away. RIP SV.❤

I understand that people who race pigeons competitively can sometimes dye their birds so they can better judge which ones are fastest.
