Most of us probably have a very vivid picture of how a US president looks. However, before men become the most powerful people in the free world, they are regular guys just like us. For example, Harry S. Truman was a timekeeper in the railway, while Andrew Johnson was a tailor.
To illustrate that one day they were just like us, Bored Panda has collected a list of portraits of US presidents when they were young. You can barely recognize them, and if you think presidency is an easy job - take a look at how presidents look before and after their terms in office.

Explain to me why Obama's photo has a photoshopped cigarette in his mouth? And why Trump photo is the only one without historical context behind it? This makes it look like Obama was a pothead and Trump was in the military both false statements.

It’s not photoshopped. He smoked from a very early age on... he quit his first year in the whitehouse. But it was just a cigarette, not pot! And as far as Trump, he was in the military academy as a student. That’s as far as he went! I don’t think it shows what you think. To me it shows Obama being a real person who understands all aspects of American life. He wasn’t some rich kid with a silver spoon in his mouth... he is relatable and “normal”. Trump, was a wannabe who had his best years in a school his daddy paid for and although he wore a “uniform” in college, he never amounted to anything but a trust fund baby who paid doctors to give him excuses to avoid the draft while he played sports and spent daddy’s money. Maybe you have to already know their backgrounds to appreciate the irony of the pictures. Obama went on to be a lawyer and worked his way up through the ranks legitimately - Trump used his daddies money to fail at businesses at his whim and did nothing for anyone.

Interesting - at 29 Ronald Reagan was just PRETENDING to be a famous Notre Dame football player (George Gipp) while Gerald Ford at 20 WAS a Michigan football player (without a helmet?) and Jimmy Carter was in the Navy ROTC and eventually headed for Annapolis.

The only one that wasn't dressed distinquished was Obama. He was born in Africa. I guess they didn't have suits or military uniforms there.
