It’s beyond belief how little we know about what we call our best furry friends. Ok, we don’t actually call cats that, ‘cause they would be better off without humans altogether, but we’d like to think we are.
I mean, we now have evidence that felines sleep in trees, form super weird shapes with fellow felines, and on some occasions, their .exe just stops working. Apparently, that’s not it.
People have a whole subreddit dedicated to sightings of cats that got caught acting super weird. Like weird². Serious about not being serious, we present you the most off-the-track cattos from r/WhatsWrongWithYourCat that either need some fixing, or I give up.

Bored Panda reached out to the creator of r/WhatsWrongWithYourCat, which now has 200K members and basically says “that's just not right.”
The redditor just-a-traveler told us that he made the subreddit as a companion to a similar subreddit r/WhatsWrongWithYourDog. Created five years ago, the dog community now has a staggering 875K members.
“Both subreddits serve as a place for folks to show off their pets being goofs,” just-a-traveler said. He was also laconic when asked about the idea behind it: “the images pretty much speak for themselves.”
And it’s true. We don’t know why these cats are acting so weird and stuff, but we may never find a reason. In the end, this is cat logic and the only thing we are sure about is that it doesn’t work by the book.

But cat behavior experts do believe that some weird feline behavior can, in fact, be explained. For example, when cats knead or “make biscuits” with their paws, it’s their instincts calling. Richard Gowan, a veterinarian at The Cat Clinic, believes that: "This action could be a marking instinct as the cat releases hormones through their feet. [They] might do it on your bed to mark it as theirs."
Meanwhile, if the cat is headbutting, it doesn’t necessarily mean they want us to pet them. Instead, Gowan suggests they are marking us with their scent glands. "When cats do things like kneading, scratching, or headbutting, they're actually marking you with their glands."
Gowan also believes that if cat refuses to use a litter box, it’s not always them being naughty. On the contrary, it may be your fault. “The cat might be thinking, 'No, your litter-box management isn't up to my standards,'" he said.

I got up here Mom, but I can’t get back down now. Our growing kitten Tabby, who is continually discovering new places she’s finally big enough to get to, did the exact same thing this evening. Only it was the washing machine she managed to climb up on to but couldn’t get down from, and she also cried for me to come rescue her.

We had a dog that did this too. There was a quilt that my mom and I made that he always had to have and would do this with. When we had to have him put down (cancer of the jaw) his blankie was buried with him. After 14 yrs it was definitely his.

I'm not sure why........the cats prefer drinking out of water filled pots (I didn't get to planting) and the dog likes the water on the top of 5 gallon bucket lids. I literally keep them filled with water, and preferably mossy? (and not planted) so my critters can get there liquid where they will.

sorry to be the party-pooper - it might be a bit serious. a few cats who have a considerable worm load do this. i have seen my cat do this when his urea, creatinine shot up. I'm just a little concerned. wish him and the hooman good health.

Our cat started licking a terra cotta pot in our home, turned out he had lymphoma. Sadly, often cats who exhibit unusual behaviours suddenly (I’m assuming this was out of the blue), it’s due to an underlying health condition. Often serious, as the other poster also mentioned. I hope this is not the case with your kitty, but I’d take them in to the vet to be safe. We thought it was funny/weird when our cat started doing it at first, then we thought we’d get him checked out to be safe. He ended up having a huge inoperable tumour on his lymph node and we lost him soon after. Him licking the pot, was the only noticeable sign anything was off. Now sadly I’m very concerned if our pets exhibit a behaviour out of the ordinary. As it’s often due to a health issue. Sometimes licking odd objects could mean a nutritional deficiency as well. Hope kitty is okay! ❤️

While a some comments are right as far as possibly something may be wrong with kitty or being thirsty, some cat's just like to lick things. One of mine does all the time. The wall the counters the floor the microwave but mostly my arm and forehead and there is nothing wrong with him health wise, has blood work and regular Vet visits. Cats are weird and do as they please
