Artist Creates Unique Wood Sculptures Using An Ancient Woodworking Technique That He Saw In Visions
During an Ayahuasca ceremony, Chris Isner received clear instructions about an ancient woodworking technique that he now uses to record his and his client’s visions into unique wood sculptures. His work fascinates and everybody asks what materials he is using. It’s hard to believe it’s just wood but as a conscious human being Chris is not using any wood — but only reclaimed “guilt-free” wood.

I love this one. The face looks calm an at peace and the third eye wide awake, absorbing the world. It makes me want to know what secret he knows.

These are all so beautiful. Like an ayahuasca vision, they seem to be an embodiment of the life force within the wood. I can't stop thinking about them ❤️✌🏼

Wouldn't many artists say that they have visions/insights/inspirations as catalysts to their work? Who are we, to judge artists' motives?

No one questions motives or inspirations here. However, to claim that an ancient technique (i.e. one that had been developed and known by a group of people before) was acquired by getting into trance...no, that is simply impossible. Either, the technique was re-invented (which might be possible as a kind of vision, as a spontaneous brainchild), or it was simply learned from sources and the vision-thingy is just about the artist's perference for psychoactive substances.

Except that there's no evidence for a soul, so "spiritual development" does nada except in the cases of placebo effect.

Ayahuasca ceremony? Instructions given during a vision? Do not do drugs, kids... (Admittedly, such a trip might be harmless...the knowledge of the technique did _not_ come though it, nonetheless.)

"Harmless"?? Ayahuasca is probably the most highly effective medicine ever invented. Look into it.
