Japanese Artist Depicts The Typical Life Of His Pet Hamster, And The Result Is Adorable
Japanese artist and art university graduate Gotte have turned their creative skills towards a very cool subject. Their light-hearted watercolor animal drawings depict a typical day in their adorable pet's life - a cute hamster named Sukeroku.
What's most charming about these cute drawings is the main character going about their typical day participating in activities that are inherently 'human.' And it is always adorable to imagine how would animals, especially as loveable as this hamster pet, would look like doing regular human chores. From fixing a meal to making a bed, this funny hamster seems to have a busy life day in and day out, but very adorable, nonetheless.
Scroll down and take a glimpse at the cute images of Sukeroku's adventures!

Oh! Sophisticated european style wit da fork and da knife;) nice mice
I do remember my best friend's drama story... She had a hamster named Dasha) Crazy little creature as I thought but for her she was a family member. One day she died(( friend wrote a poem at the day of her funeral(( "My little sweet Dasha you were everything for me..." it was the 1st line I will remember forever. Even her father cried that day(( so our love and care about animal matters. Let's show great examples for our kids what humanity is)
those are so wonderful. He has so much personality in just a few pictures. You should make a children's book about him. One of those wonderful books with beautiful pictures that kids remember forever. I still have some of those from when I was a kid. sigh. unless I am dreaming that kids still do that tlol
My son and I had hamsters when he was growing up. When our first one developed a tumor, we took her to a vet, and had it surgically removed. People laughed at me, but she was our pet, and we loved her. she lived two more years and we enjoyed her so much. We got another one, and enjoyed him just as much. We love Hamsters!!!
I love these watercolors! What an adorable little guy. Thanks for sharing.
Truly beautiful artwork, captures the fun spirit of hamsters and just plain fun!
Ive never liked sunflower seeds, but he disagrees...wait, is it a he?
These are . . . So cute . . . Cuteness overload . . . Help me!!!! Just want to cuddle it!!! The art is so good and pleasant, and SOFT!
I do hope that there is a children's book coming! This is very, very nice work.
What amazing images. So beautiful--the colours are perfect, the expressions and humour perfect. They convey remind me of a 21st century Beatrice Potter
The love that the owner feels for his hamster comes through bright and clear. What a sweet relationship.
I was always happy to See Kids Menu because I thought 'what a great idea to have smaller portions for kids' - I was wrong I guess because as most of you said kids menu = junk food. However, lately in a lot of restaurants I noticed kids menu had better healthier options maybe just more simpler than adult menu.
The artist has used imagination and emotion in a way that persuades the observer into believing his adorable subject's escapades are reality. In a word, they are delightful!
These are so very well done. Your mastery of watercolor is stunning, and your subject is adorable. Thank you for sharing. Just lovely.
Typical? Like you see a hamster with a tiny hair dryer and you'd be like "ah, typical!" ...
