My 28 Photos Of The Remains Of Abandoned Theaters From Various Countries
My name is Dimitri and I am a photographer and also a freelance graphic designer, based in France. I am also known for my brand name Jahz (Jahz Design).
I travel the globe looking for places in decline, therefore, my latest series centers "Innuendo Teatro" - one of the most beautiful abandoned theaters in the World.

Such beautiful craftmanship! All gone to waste. What a tragic loss. I want to know the back story to everyone of these and why they are abandoned.

Lol! I just saw your comment after I thought this looks like a morgue!

Agree! This one looks great! No sign of abandonment at all! And that chandelier! WOW. This needs to be used for something. It is gorgeous! Sad waste for sure.

looks abandoned for a long time... all in wood (except the walls)?? Could be restaurated or made in a community hall or something

First thought was it looks a little bit like a prison on the outside with the gray, but then I saw the windows, and if done right, it would look very beautiful if it could be redone. Needs a little bit of color and a little bit of paint and shine up, but it definitely has good bones!

What the heck am I even looking at? Are those light fixtures or something? Maybe old fashion projectors?
It is the old movie projectors. How you watched a movie in the theatre some time ago, before digital.

Another one that isn't so bad. I wish someone would take the solid foundation and make something with these.

And now it is an amphitheater/opera house for to sing ITS own song to itself and to the wild birds and animals!

The only thing you could salvage out of this is the Blue and yellow pattern on the upper wall… everything else, it’s just not worth it. I don’t think you could get anything else out of this, except for maybe painting a picture, or taking photographs and you might be able to figure out some of the old architecture though by drawing it. Maybe, just maybe, it might have some good bones, if you’re really, REALLY, lucky. But the rest of the building is only good for burning the wood while using the rest of scrap material.
