There are people who really, truly don't get it. My dad is a hospital chaplain. He's had patients with COVID who don't believe they have COVID. He's had other patients die of COVID and furious family members unwilling to accept that COVID killed their family member. It's ridiculous and sad. Get vaccinated. Social distance. Wear your mask. This s**t is real. Protect yourself and those you care about.

I'm sorry to the staff that have to clean this up. I mean, the parents could leave a reasonable tip to try and make your night/day better whilst cleaning this up..

Oh just clean it up, it's not that bad. Most of it's on the table. The food on the floor is from the toddler, and anyone who doesn't understand that this is just what happens with toddlers is either childfree or a very cruel parent. Yes, the mum could crawl around on her hands and knees picking it up with her fingers, or the paid staff with the equipment could clean it up. Yes, that's a mess, and no I wouldn't leave a table like that, but seriously, compared to some of the heartbreaking stories on here, an employee complaining when their job gets a bit challenging is just annoying. They need to get a grip or a different job (I have also worked in hospitality and cleaned up after people).

I saw something similar to this just a month ago at the local Denny's. The father just let the kid dance around and actually eat his food without a fork including the brat putting his face into the place and picking up the food with his mouth and the little bastard would drop it on the table or floor and he was just looking at his phone most of the time. The little bastard would not sit down and wandered around. He was NOT some toddler, he was around 10 or 11. THEY were sitting less than ten feet from us. The waitress even tried to clean up while the little asshole was dropping food on the floor and all the father said was thanks and went back to his phone and I just wanted to scream. I was going to say something when we left but he left before us. The little bastard just left a mess. I asked the waitress if they left a big tip. She said they put $1 on the bill for a tip and then we saw the syrup all over the table as we walked by. My brother and I left he an extra ten on top of the twenty percent we always leave.

Used to wait tables in high school. THAT is nothing compared to some of the messes I have seen. Dirty diapers on the table, broken dishes, etc. Ugh

My parents would NEVER EVER have allowed us to make a mess like this. Not even at home. No where! This is the elite entitled.

Years ago I was a waiter, and a family of four(mom, dad, son, daughter) suddenly got up and left right after finishing their food. The daughter came up to me as the other three were leaving, said "We're sorry...", handing me a wad of cash, and quickly left with her family. The cash was almost twice the bill, which was great, but I was confused until I started clearing the table: The son had vomited ALL over... at least I got a good tip :D

Manager should AUTOMATICALLY impose the MANDATORY TIP for THIS level of disrespect!!! Put a notice on the wall BESIDE the one indicating Mandatory tips for groups of 8 or more!

Well, kids tend to imitate their parents. It's not like parents were any better, they left mess on the table.

Or just sue the delivery company for leaving your medicines unattended at your door. In the Netherlands it's quite common for delivery people to ask neighbors if they can leave packages for other people. Why wouldn't you do that for your neighbors?

Really doubt if the fines will stand up in court. You're not allowed to hold a mobile device when you're driving, but in most countries it's perfectly legal to use it when you're stationary. Like when you're waiting for a traffic light or when you're trapped in a congestion.
