Yeah but "The South shall rise again," which is apparently not an anti-American terrorist slogan for some reason.

I would just like to say that not all Southerners are like this...as far as I am concerned, this flag represents seditionists, and as such, is a symbol of treason (and other horrible things). Enough is enough.

@Robb Oyer sigh.. that unprompted rhetoric kind of shows how ignorant of history you are. Democrats and Republicans swapped in the 60s with Kennedy and Johnson. Those two being about civil rights and helping blacks pissed off all the southern democrats, who made a mass exodus to the republican party who made pro segregation a major aspect of their platform, and the paradigm shifted. Same reason Lincoln being a republican doesn't apply to modern context. It might be shocking to you, but all the klan members, neo nazis and confederate flag waving flat earther whackjobs are at trump rallies, it's kind of a major aspect of the party.

It's the flag of a bunch of traitors who started a civil war so they could keep black people enslaved. Germans don't go around waving swastika flags just because "it's our history," do they? The Confederate flag is essentially the American equivalent to a Nazi flag. The people who display Confederate flags will, of course, try to tell you it's not ("it's just our heritage")...but it is. It represents treason and chattel slavery.

Just because your from the south and like the Confederate flag does not automatically make you a racist. A flag does not make you this or that, nor can a flag BE a racist. The Confederate flag is a reminder that once there were two separate nations on one land. No one called Russia racists when they split up into 5 separate nations. It's colorful and by our nations laws we are not allowed to desecrate our national flag like this. It's tiring blaming; everything on race and! Would be hysterical had she married a black man. Most men of all colors in the south are not triggered by this flag anymore, but there's always one that is oh this is sooo scaawy, just like those scaawy statues, they was gonna jump down any second. Wait, I think I saw that one move. Run....

1. You're autocorrect improved your language since you were going to use a slur. 2. Even if it's not the confederate flag, anyone who was as disgusted by it as they should be would say, "oh no, that looks too much like the confederate flag. No way!"

Great idea if you want your wedding to smell like pee.

thatsitimweddingshaming Report

Anna and Sarah, team leaders at The Wedding Society spoke to Bored Panda about unruly and rude guests, and how to manage them. In short, it’s important to let go of the idea that weddings can be ‘perfect’: some things will go wrong no matter what. So it’s vital to be able to adapt and not take any minor flaws in the plan personally.

“Some people just want to watch the world burn, and as hosts to an event, it's just something that wedding couples will have to accept,” Anna and Sarah explained to us that the happy couple has to be realistic about the fact that not everyone will be well-behaved and polite on this happy occasion. No matter how much we might want them to.

thatsitimweddingshaming Report

“Not everyone is going to fall in line, especially your anarchist uncle Jerry with the overgrown beard. That said, try to fall back on your vendor support system as leverage,” the experts pointed out that the marrying couple shouldn’t have to do everything themselves. They can’t worry about every tiny detail or mishap. They should turn to the venue’s staff to help them handle all the issues.

“Simply saying, ‘The venue has rules’ or, ‘Our caterers have agreed to only..’" is an easy way to take the blame off yourself but still enforce hard rules,” the wedding expert shared how couples can shut down some bad behavior among guests. It’s a way to misdirect some of the havoc-wreakers’ negative emotions elsewhere.
