Not everyone is born a driver, but the majority of the population just suck it up and learn to drive whether the hard or the easy way. But in reality, a driver’s license doesn’t protect you from road rage, dangerous situations, or reckless behaviors that happen way too often.
So this list from Bored Panda serves as a crucial reminder to keep our eyes on the road for any bizarre, unexpected, and plain dumb sightings. Like this crazy person who drives cross-legged or this driver who holds a plate with a fork in what seems to be a fancy rendezvous dinner while driving.
This is not safe, this is not funny, but unfortunately it happens and we'd better learn what to expect and how to react in such unfortunate cases from the images rather than real-life circumstances. More people who shouldn't be allowed on the road can be found in our previous post right here.

The national survey known as the 2021 Travelers Risk Index on distracted driving showed some illuminating findings on safety on the roads in the US. Luckily, one in four drivers thinks that roads are safer today than they were before the pandemic. However, alarmingly, a growing number of respondents reported using their mobile devices in unsafe ways while driving, including:
- Texting or emailing (26%, up from 19% pre-pandemic).
- Checking social media (20%, up from 13% pre-pandemic).
- Taking videos and pictures (19%, up from 10% pre-pandemic).
- Shopping online (17%, up from 8% pre-pandemic).

Suddenly the car in front of me pulled out and I realised that we were all waiting behind a legally parked car. I pulled out, and saw in my rear vision mirror, all those behind me following my example.

Chris Hayes, the Second Vice President of Workers Compensation and Transportation, Risk Control, at Travelers commented on the current state of road safety: “Not only did distracted driving increase, data from our telematics product IntelliDrive shows that speeding also became more prevalent. As travel restrictions are lifted around the country, it’s critical to slow down and stay focused on the road by eliminating distractions.”

Exactly, this is how i take mine in cars, 1 rabbit and a 1 dog take up the place of 3 humans. Both are safely tied by seatbelts. I'm currently passing the driving exam and my father (who is not concerned at all) is pissed off because i need a family car instead of a tiny one. No i won't put them in the trunk to be smashed in case of accident, or put them on the roof. Yes if you can't manage to take them safely for them and humans in the car, just don't have animals, if they are not tied safely they may die of course, and also kill you, they will became deadly weapons with the kinetic energy. 20200926_1...90d9e4.jpg

Poor babies—-and one actually still is! Plus, they look like purebred Siamese cats—-who cost quite a bit if they have good bloodlines. I mean, ffs. If you’re not going to take the fact that they are living creatures into consideration, then at least protect your investment. I hope they were reported to Amina, Control, and the cats confiscated and rehomed.

This is awful. I've had cats for many years and I know these poor kitties will be terrified. That moron must have no idea that they're hearing is WAY better than ours and that traffic noise will be overwhelming for them. I hope he got caught and the cats were rehomed.

I’m 60, so it’s been 45 years, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Basic driver training lesson. If you miss a turn or an exit, or if traffic is too heavy to cross, then just keep driving until you reach the next exit, or a safe place to turn around. Plenty of stoplights ahead on this road. One of them has to have a safe place to turn around—-a parking lot on the left side with its own light, perhaps?

How do these people even pass the driving test? Well, some of them probably didn't and are driving anyway. The ones that blow me away are the ones that managed to get not only a driver's license, but a CDL.

This topic proves again what I've been saying for years now: include a psychological evaluation and an IQ test in the entire process of getting a drivers license. Just too many fools get a license to endanger the public with a 2 ton killing machine.

I hate it to drive a car. Even if everyone drives careful, sober and prudent and all cars are maintained very well, suddenly out of nowhere 'POOF' there is a wasp in your or the car behind you frightening the driver. Or a deer on the street, or or or.. From one second to the next, your life can change completely or just simply stop. It's naive, but I just hate it!

I was taught to drive 'defensively' and it's saved me from a few crashes I'm sure. It basically means you assume every other car on the road doesn't know it's road rules. So if they are indicating, don't go out in front of them until you see them actually turning. Same for people who are meant to give way to you: be prepared for them to come out in front of you anyway. I even used this on my full licence test, on a roundabout and a car pulled out onto the roundabout as I approached it. I was able to stop in time, but the guy next to me testing me went white and shouted out the window at the woman :D I think he was pleased with my driving after that seeing as I avoided a huge risk

I have epilepsy and don't drive, but there are many people with active seizures who do. Such idiots who aren't drunk, aren't doing dumb things with their cars, just knowingly doing something that could cost people their lives.
